Quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Lovely afternoon tea with a good selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Plentiful tea and good unobtrusive service. Thank you.

Surrounded by the rambling Norfolk greenery, the Brasserie at Barnham Broom is a cosy countryside retreat with an award-winning menu. Sourcing all seasonal produce locally, the intimate dining area benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows, while the summer terrace offers sensational views of the grounds: perfect for al fresco dining.

With a focus placed on local produce, the Brasserie at Barnham Broom menu serves up contemporary British cuisine, such as shin of beef with heritage purple carrot and slow-roasted onion, and Magret duck breast, with chicken liver pate and mash potato. The Norfolk mixed grill includes weighty slabs of meat including honey-roasted rump of lamb, Anglais steak, sweet-cured gammon and chorizo sausage: a menu favourite for carnivores, no doubt.

Indulgent desserts include red wine poached pear with yoghurt sorbet, and Norfolk treacle tart with bay ice cream. A great selection of local ales, fragrant cocktails and delicious wines complement the menu.

Wholesome British cuisine with lush scenic views, Brasserie at Barnham Broom in Norfolk is 15 minutes’ drive from Wymondham train station.

We had an excellent meal. The staff and service were very attentive and we chose to take our coffee in the lounge afterwards which was warm and relaxing.

Afternoon tea on a Monday afternoon. Restaurant was very quiet, nice table with view of the golf course. Afternoon tea was pleasant, a few more sandwiches would have been nice and also to have been asked if there was anything we didn't like would have been good. We had 2 fish sandwiches, fine for us but wouldn't be to everyones taste and the hamd sandwich contained mustard which would have been nice as an option rather than a given.
Overall it was nice but we both agreed had had much better elsewhere. Wouldn't have paid the full price for it so was glad of the 3 for £20 offer.
Have had dinner in the brasserie on a could of occasions and dinner was much better.

Excellent furnishings and setting but mediocre food - pate (bought in), bruschetta with goat cheese (three small pieces of very hard bread and minimal cheese - beef and turkey ok - yorkshire pudding presumably had once been light and crispy

Cake & scones very nice but bread in sandwiches were slightly dry, with little filling they certainly could have been better.

This was our first visit for Sunday lunch, it was a lovely meal and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lovely ambiance and surroundings. Delicious afternoon tea with my family. Only slight criticism wouldo be he had to find a member of staff to ask for more tea as no one was about but it didn't spoil our lovely afternoon.

Excellent - shared fish platter to start was varied and very tasty. Pork chop and duck main courses were equally generous, well cooked and presented. Desserts, chocolate and panna cotta, were to die for! Service was very attentive and friendly.
    Highly recommended.

Whilst visiting with my Grandaughter for afternoon tea I saw the offer for Sunday lunch 2 courses for £25 if booked on line. We came home and she booked it for myself and my husband as a thank-you treat. It was lovely to see the restaurant full and we had a most enjoyable 2 course meal (we paid for our drinks at the bar). The disappointment came when the bill was presented at £31.90 The matter was sorted with the duty manager but it just spoilt a lovely lunch.
