Surrounded by the rambling Norfolk greenery, the Brasserie at Barnham Broom is a cosy countryside retreat with an award-winning menu. Sourcing all seasonal produce locally, the intimate dining area benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows, while the summer terrace offers sensational views of the grounds: perfect for al fresco dining.

With a focus placed on local produce, the Brasserie at Barnham Broom menu serves up contemporary British cuisine, such as shin of beef with heritage purple carrot and slow-roasted onion, and Magret duck breast, with chicken liver pate and mash potato. The Norfolk mixed grill includes weighty slabs of meat including honey-roasted rump of lamb, Anglais steak, sweet-cured gammon and chorizo sausage: a menu favourite for carnivores, no doubt.

Indulgent desserts include red wine poached pear with yoghurt sorbet, and Norfolk treacle tart with bay ice cream. A great selection of local ales, fragrant cocktails and delicious wines complement the menu.

Wholesome British cuisine with lush scenic views, Brasserie at Barnham Broom in Norfolk is 15 minutes’ drive from Wymondham train station.

Prompt service by helpful waitress, though a very relaxing experience where we didn't feel rushed or under pressure.

It was ok, not th e best afternoon tea I've had, we were told it was clotted cream with our scones and it certainly wasn't. The carrot cake was very bland and the tart was terrible, all pastry with no taste at all .

The restaurant was nice and the waitress was lovely and friendly making sure we were ok. The down side were you really need music on in the background as it made the atmosphere very quiet. I ordered the catch of the day with new potatoes, green beans and broccoli. I asked the waitress about the broccoli and she point it out on my plate. It was so small you could only just see it. It weren't even the size of a green bean it was disgusting. What is it with restaurants being so mean on the veg when veg is so cheap? When you charge the prices you do for the meals you need to actually put the veg on! First time of ever going to a hotel where it was not a help yourself breakfast. As there was only 1 chief cooking the breakfasts it just go to prove it don't not work. You should seriously think of having a help yourself breakfast!

Had a lovely afternoon tea yesterday. I have a lot of food intolerances and they were brilliant at accommodating to these and the food was delicious. Had such a lovely afternoon. Thank you will definitely be coming back again.
