Opened in 1964 as London's 'first real wine bar', Boot and Flogger blends the site's rich history with a modern menu. European and Mediterranean fare is presented alongside the luxurious Davy’s wine stock.

The Boot and Flogger menu is full of flavour, featuring succulent grilled scallops, bacon and sweet spring onion with a chilli kick. Daily specials bring something different to the table on a regular basis, whilst desserts at Boot and Flogger restaurant offer a taste of British luxury, with sweet and sticky treacle tart covered in cream.

The wines are not to be ignored at Boot and Flogger in London Bridge, with a spectacular selection of blends by the glass and bottle. Enjoy a rare vintage label from the special list of fine wines, while sinking into a plush leather armchair and admiring the wood panelling. A veritable labyrinth comprising a bar and dining rooms, plus many charming areas, can be booked for all manner of entertaining or functions.

Boot and Flogger in London is a 5-minute walk from London Bridge Tube Station. The illustrious Shard is just a 7-minute walk away.

    Good food. Gammon was excellent.
Service was slower than I remembered from previous visits, but they weee rather busy.

Lovely traditional British restaurant tucked away on a quaint backstreet a stones throw from London Bridge. The service is impeccable and the wine list fantastic. What makes it particularly special is the decor: wooden panels, low lighting, comfy seats and a view of the shard from some windows.

We had a lovely pre-theatre meal at Boot and Flogger and cannot thank the staff enough for the very warm welcome and service they provided! The food was absolutely wonderful, complimented by our table in the warm and inviting Bar. The view of The Shard from our table was absolutely amazing!
We would definitely visit again and will definitely recommend Boot and Flogger to family and friends!

I am sorry to say it but I was very disappointed. I have read loads of positive reviews so my expectations were high. I did not enjoy my starter which was quail eggs. I was expecting them to be warm and soft boiled which they were not. Not worth the prize. But the biggest disappointing was my main dish - mushroom risotto. it did not have any creaminess to it . It was tasteless and plain. I do not think that any wine or parmesan were added while cooking. When I ordered coffee I did not get any sugar and when I finally got it my coffee was getting cold.
