I have lived in selly oak all my life and spent all of my adult life traveling to Moseley, harborne and the city center to enjoy a goodnight out with excellent food in nice surroundings. Now I find it on my doorstep! Bohemia is the type of restaurant that would stand out in any of the aforementioned areas.

A quality local restaurant that is great to have in Selly Oak. I have been several times both with my wife and in larger groups of friends. The atmosphere and service is friendly without being intrusive. The owner\manager seems to always be there and he looks after everyone extremely well. There is no pretentiousness here. Customers are not looked down on if wearing jeans and trainers although you will probably feel out of place if you want to dine in a scruffy old T-shirt!! The more casual side of smart\casual is how I would describe it. I enjoy eating out and have been lucky enough to dine in some very well known places and I have to say that the food at Bohemia is never anything less than excellent. It is quite clearly hand prepared with care and presented with an eye for detail. This is not a burger and chips kind of place. The food would probably be described as English and European classic's with a modern touch. Starters like pigeon, scallops or home made terrine's are often present on the menu. There is typically slow cooked meat dishes, game in season, quality steaks, plus fish dishes such as salmon or sea bass and a vegetarian option that has obviously been thought about and not just a box ticked. And if you have room the deserts are to die for. The wine list has a good range from thrifty house wines that are well picked and available by the glass through to top end French stuff such as Chablis etc that are well priced and a real treat.
