The chef combines flavours with imagination and freshness. Good services and pleasant atmosphere. The decor is a little bland and tired, but overall we really enjoyed our visit

The food and service were excellent and the amuse bouche was a lovely surprise

We are a group of six friends who enjoy meeting up for lunch. We have tried several venues, but Bluebells has proved to be our
favourite. The setting, exceptional food, and attentive service all contribute to make each dining experience totally enjoyable.
I would absolutely recommend Bluebells to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

First visit and well worth the journey for us, ambience was good and staff attentive but not too much.
Food was excellent and the lunch menu good value.

Lovely meal. Quality and selection was of the highest standard. The service was a little too attentive. As soon as you had a sip of wine the waiters were over to replenish your glass which got a little annoying. Also the restaurant cleared out at about 10pm and it was a Friday night! Myself and my friend were the last 2 and we almost felt that we needed to leave as it was empty.

I've been to bluebells a few times, but not in the last 5 years.
Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but it seemed the food was of a much higher standard before. The brisket beef main course was unpleasant to eat it was so dry. I ordered a glass of wine to go with the main, which arrived 10 minutes after I'd finished.
Ordered a creme brûlée for pudding. Why does anyone order a creme brûlée? For the toasted crunchy sugar coating on top of course! But this came out as a panacotta with a separate little disc of moulded sugar on the side. Gutted!

I would probably give them one more go, as I know how nice it can be when they get it right, but if this was my first time I probably wouldn't go back again.

Ive visited Bluebells for lunch 4 times now and I have never had a bad experience. The overall dining experience is very relaxed and enjoyable; attentive staff, attractive comfortable setting and extremely good, tasty and well presented food. I also feel it offers good value for money (£26 for the 3 course set lunch) which is cheaper than a lot of gastro pubs with better food and service! On this trip, all of my courses were delicious but my favourite dish was the white peach parfait with Bellini sorbet.

Excellent food, and excellent service. Fantastic place for a special occasion. The Duck and the Pork were both amazing! And the desserts were yummy! And my husband's came with a Happy Birthday message, having mentioned when booking that it was his birthday! Very much appreciated, thank you.
