Excellent lunch with good service. Shame they ran out of our chosen wine but this didn't detract from my birthday celebrations

The restaurant is well located on the A30 and easy to find. It has ample parking too. The interior with is simple yet stylish design offers a relaxing experience. The seasonal dishes are of exceptional quality and are incredibly presented. There is an extensive and very good wine list. Your every need is attended in an extremely professional manner by very friendly, welcoming staff.

Recommended to eat at The Bluebell Restaurant by friends who lived nearby. My friend and I were staying at The Pennyhill Park and chose to eat away from the hotel and am so glad that we did. The moment we walked into the restaurant I knew that we were in for a gastronomic treat and my expectations were met. Pre dinner drinks accompanied by amuse-bouche were served in the lounge area while we looked at the menu. For my starter I chose the blue cheese mouse with broccoli veloute , which was perfect. The sharpness of the blue cheese was toned down by the delicate flavour of the broccoli veloute. Moving onto the main I had the Rib eye of Pork which I have to say was the nicest pork dish that I have had in a long while. I could probably have left dessert but chose to have the orange and cardamom cylinder with mandarin, it was very pleasant but I feel I could have chosen a better dessert.

In summary, a very enjoyable evening. Bluebells has a feeling of being a treat. Service is excellent and the ambience is warm and sophisticated. My only (slight) criticism is that I think that the drinks are a bit overpriced.
