Golden Ticket Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions

1.           This promotion is open to all residents in Great Britain aged 18 years or over except employees (and their immediate families) of the Michelin Group and its associated companies, its agents or anyone else connected with the creation and administration of this promotion.
2.           The following terms shall have the following meanings in this promotion:

“Golden Ticket” is a winning ticket printed on a card inside a MICHELIN Guide. A Golden Ticket will be identifiable by scratching the panel on the card which will reveal the following text “Congratulations, you’re a Golden Ticket winner. Go to www.bookatable.co.uk/goldenticketuk to make a reservation”, together with a unique reference number;

“MICHELIN Guide” is the MICHELIN Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2018; and

“MICHELIN Guide Restaurant” is a restaurant in the MICHELIN Guide and the list of eligible MICHELIN Guide Restaurants can be found at www.bookatable.co.uk/goldenticketuk.

3.           There are 25 Golden Tickets which are each worth £200. Winners must follow the booking and payment process set out below, which includes paying for the meal which will then be reimbursed by the Promoter. This promotion can only be used once by a winner during the Promotional Period and is only applicable on food consumed at an eligible MICHELIN Guide Restaurant. This promotion does not include beverage, travel or accommodation costs, tax or personal expenses and any restaurant costs in excess of £200 will not be reimbursed by the Promoter.
4.           Purchase necessary. Internet access and a valid email address are required to enter. Only online entries will be accepted.
5.           To enter, winners must:

5.1.      purchase a MICHELIN Guide between 2 October 2017 and 31 July 2018 (“Promotional Period”) which contains a Golden Ticket;

5.2.      during the Promotional Period visit www.bookatable.co.uk/goldenticketuk and make a reservation at an eligible MICHELIN Guide Restaurant. The reservation must be made via this website and take place before 31 August 2018;

5.3.      attend the reservation at the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant on the time and date selected and pay the restaurant bill in full; and

5.4.      email goldenticketuk@booktable.com no later than thirty days following the dining experience with the following details: (i) valid email address; (ii) name; (iii) contact telephone number; (iv) bank details (sort code and account number); (v) a copy of the Golden Ticket showing the unique reference number; and (vi) a copy of the receipt from the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant stating the amount paid for the meal.

6.           Failure to follow the process set out above will mean that a winner’s Golden Ticket is invalid.
7.           The Promoter will reimburse the winner the value of the receipt relating to food purchased from the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant up to the sum of £200 no later than thirty days following receipt of the email referred to in paragraph 5.4. If the amount spent on food is less than £200, no outstanding credit will be reimbursed.
8.           The Promoter reserves the right to verify any Golden Ticket claims. In order to be reimbursed, winners are required to retain a copy of the: (i) Golden Ticket (to validate the unique reference number); and (ii) receipt from the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant stating the amount paid for the meal. The Promoter reserves the right to request evidence of the MICHELIN Guide purchase.
9.           Entries are restricted to one per person for the duration of the promotion. The Promoter will not accept entries that are: (i) from agents, organised group or third parties; or (ii) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with.
10.         The Promoter and/or the Michelin Group accept no liability for incomplete or inaccurate entries or emails that are lost, mislaid, misdirected, corrupted or not received during delivery to or from the Promoter and/or the Michelin Group due to any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of electronic submission is not proof of receipt of entry.
11.         The Golden Tickets are subject to availability, non-negotiable and non-transferable. No cash alternative will be offered and the Golden Ticket may not be claimed by a third party.
12.         The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if winners are not able to take up the Golden Ticket.
13.         Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Golden Ticket except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Winners statutory rights are not affected.
14.         The Promoter reserves the right to publish the name of the Golden Ticket winners and the winners agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.
15.         The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so, with no liability to any winners or third parties. This includes, but is not limited to, restaurant closures and/or changes to the list of eligible restaurants.
16.         By entering this promotion, all winners are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award a prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
17.         Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the promotion and to publicise the name of the winners.
18.         The promotion shall be governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
19.         This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, the MICHELIN Guide Restaurants.
