Birmingham Celebrates Food Fest 2011

There’s something foodie going on in Birmingham. The first festival of its kind in the city, Food Fest sees all things culinary consume Birmingham’s bustling Victoria Square for 10 days. An eclectic mix of stalls sees farmers’ market-style offerings of freshly baked breads, homemade jams and wholesome organic treats, to eat-on-the-go dishes from some of Birmingham’s cutting-edge culinary talent. Spectacular live cooking demonstrations from high profile chefs also offer a glimpse of the action first hand.

Food Fest sees some of Birmingham’s landmark eateries stage bespoke festival menus, showcasing their favourite recipes at a discounted price. Guests can sample a quintessentially British offering at Chamberlains Fish & Chips, or timeless French elegance at Chez Jules, as well as other offerings from across the globe.

As the only UK city outside London to offer a choice of 3 Michelin-starred eateries, coupled with Food Fest’s status as a gourmet haven, Birmingham has firmly cemented itself on the culinary map. Catch Food Fest in Victoria Square from 14th – 23rd October.
