As well as serving up modern British cuisine with European influences, Paul has also created a stunning afternoon tea, served in the Art School Cellars, a cosy sanctuary beneath the main restaurant.

The Art School afternoon tea offers indulgent twists on classics, with the sandwich options including corn-fed Goosnargh chicken with curried egg on brioche, and poached salmon with caviar on rye bread. Follow this with the likes of Earl Grey macaron and white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake.

I love to be taken out to eat,
relax and have a good time!
I like the idea of being served,
while I’m being wined and dined.
I enjoy puttering around in the
kitchen, I’m great, at what I do.
It’s the change of scenery, I’m
looking forward to. Cooking
every day, that’s okay, but it
can be a boring task. Going
out, can be a life saver, is
that too much to ask? What
a difference it makes, when
you can sit down at your
leisure, order what you like,
then eat at your own free will.
