The restaurant at the Hotel Blaue Hand in Gross-Bierberau offers fresh, German regional cuisine (from the Odenwald) as well as seasonal cuisine. It can cater for up to 100 diners and the beer garden can accommodate a further 30 guests in the summer months. The Blaue Hand is the ideal setting for family parties and company dos. The restaurant holds so-called regional weeks throughout the year - with lavish themes, such as Dinkel und Grünkern (spelt and unripe spelt – a type of wheat that was popular in Germany in the Middle Ages), lamb and asparagus dishes in the spring. Themed weeks also include trout, potatoes, apples, game, goose, gingerbread and stew. Special events also include the New Year's Eve ball. The Blaue Hand also organises a social programme, a shuttle/bus service, home catering, a party service, crockery hire and can also arrange musical and other entertainment.
