In the beautiful Inglewood House, Blandy’s Bar & Bistro serves classic afternoon teas and elegant British and European cuisine. With sophisticated interiors and an al fresco sun terrace, the restaurant overlooks the landscaped gardens.

From head chef Gert Pienaar, The Blandy’s Bistro menu offers locally sourced, seasonal dishes, full of classic English character. Savour beer-battered fish of the day with hand-cut chips, pork and leek sausage with creamed leek and ham hock and grain mustard jus, or the 28 day dry-aged sirloin steak with sautéed mushrooms. For a lighter bite, try the smoked salmon with salmon mousse, caviar and pickled radish, or hand-rolled confit duck spring roll with roasted pineapple, celery salad and sesame dressing.

Afternoon tea at Inglewood House offers a quintessentially British dining experience in a timelessly sophisticated setting. Artwork adorns the walls, the décor is effortlessly glamorous, and the cellars of Berry Brothers and Rudd provide the wine.

A tranquil rural oasis, Blandy’s Bar & Bistro sits only 8 miles from the centre of Newbury and just 3 miles from Hungerford.

The Bustro was very nice, decor lovely and setting beautiful. Afternoon tea was very nice but not for a plain palette or non cream lovers.

Wow what a find! Not somewhere you'd just come across. But this place should be shouting its praises. Off the beaten track- but use a satnav and youl go down a country lane into what looks like the middle of nowhere, and then, eventually you see twinkling lights. It's like driving into a country estate, pleanty of parking and the most amazing large country house. This place is elegant warm and welcoming. Staff are so nice and nothing's too much trouble. Every year my gal pal and I go shopping somewhere new at Christmas and then have tea. We booked festive afternoon tea after a day in hungerford a antique shops. And what a tea it was! Very traditional but modern cosy seating area, very quiet and unhurried. The food was served on a glass trio tea stand, very trendy and the cakes etc were delicious and plentiful. We lazed and relaxed for 3 hours, pleanty of extra tea and friendly service. This was a real treat and one of the best afternoon teas ever. From the moment you step through the decadent pillars into the reception youl receive a warm welcome. (Even the loos are a delight) This beautiful building is sumptuous, has been many things in its life but now made into luxury apartments- lucky occupants! Would definitely go back again- we saw some diners being brought out and it looked divine. So would love to go again for lunch tea or diner. Was sorry to leave.
