Disappointed, roast beef dinner should mean that P ROPER roast potatoes not baby ones in skins just put in oven.arrogant peeled properly, beef and Yorkshire pudding only decent thing on plate.when we came about six months ago(been several times since) we thought the dinner was heaven have you changed your chef,if so get rid of him and bring old one back!!

Hi,our visit was enjoyable, the meals were value for money. The Blake Barn seemed lacking in ambience, but i cannot fault the service from the manageress she is always very welcoming.

The bread crumbed mushroom starter was horrid...outer was rock hard, the mushroom centre not fully cooked and full of greasy fat. Pity as on previous visits the food has always been cooked to a good standard

On the whole the 7 of us who dined enjoyed their complaints there but service was quite slow it was about 45 minutes waiting for our order to be taken.

Hello, our dining experience was okay not a whirlwind experience. We were seated on arrival no waiting about.Checked the menu ordered food only to have to wait nearly 1 hour to receive no one told us the wait time. The meals came and the presentation was hardly impressive with the steak no peas just a lot of salad would have been nice to have been given a choice. The waitresses rather unpleasant...maybe due to the fact rather busy but customer satisfaction should always come first.
On to the puddings ice-cream out of a tub our friends commented not as nice as supermarket ones,my pear cheesecake was served on a plate which could have had the whole potion on the ice cream sliding all over the plate...waitress again rather grumpy :(( So overall not a over-whelming evening.
Personally i feel Blake Barn rather than turn people down they tend to over book.Which in turn is not giving the customers good service.

We eat here often & don't usually have any issues. However this time one member of our group had to send 2 steaks back ! The manageress & staff were really nice about it & discounted some of the bill. This was a one off & we will still use this restaurant
