With candle-lit tables in the evenings, Bistro Bonjour is a French restaurant with an outdoor terrace looking over Keizersgracht, one of Amsterdam's most attractive canals.
Nearby is the famous Magere Brug (thin bridge) and Waterlooplein and the Jewish quarter are within walking distance. So this is a handy restaurant if you're exploring the surrounding area.
Open since 1972, Bistro Bonjour has been serving good French cuisine since then, with the extensive menu changing according to season. Typical starters include French onion soup, steamed mussels and fried frog's legs. For the main course there is a variety of meat and fish dishes, as well as a vegetarian dish of the day. Desserts are also classically French in style with crème brulée, chocolate mousse and crêpe flambée just some of the options.
To accompany the meal Bistro Bonjour also offers a range of white, red and dessert wines.
