The food tasted better than it sounded - cod in miso? Love the RIBA building and peaceful atmosphere. The service was a little pushy, seemed like they were keen to finish.

Found within the Art Deco headquarters of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Bistro at 66 presents light British dishes for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. In this 1st-floor dining room, spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows flood this angled, minimalist space with natural light.

The Bistro at 66 menu continually changes, to ensure the highest quality seasonal produce is always on offer. Light bites might include mackerel Nicoise, while hearty offerings from the weekly bistro menu include lamb rump with new potatoes and cabbage, or glazed sesame salmon with broccoli and soy.

The ‘pudding trolley’ never fails to impress with desserts such as blackberry frangipane with vanilla cream on offer. Also enjoy refined elevenses at Bistro 66 in London, and choose from an assortment of cakes to enjoy alongside freshly-brewed teas.

Bistro at 66 in Marylebone also boasts an al fresco terrace, and is just a 9-minute walk from Oxford Circus Tube Station.

using this venue to meet up with architects travelling down for Scotland for a meeting

The menu offering was limited and didn't include any simple and substantial choices for hungry Scotsmen. could do with less fancy options.
We noticed that by 1.30 pm on Friday we were the only diners so what's going on.

Such a beautiful calm space to have lunch in a very special building. Lunch was delicious - although not enough black pudding around the egg!

Bistro at 66 was very good. The food was lovely and good value and the staff welcoming and attentive. The setting is excellent and the dining room is atmospheric.

Well... there was a Xmas party occupying what is arguably the most resonant lobby and stairwell in London making it so noisy in the restaurant that we couldn't stay. It was just ridiculously noisy. And the waiter's response was unhelpful. So all in all a very disappointing visiting indeed. Normally this place is great but on this occasion the needs of the fee were completely sacrificed for the pleasure of the many, and we should have been told this at the time of booking. It was like a zoo.

The food as always was really great. I took my friend who was really impresed with the surroundings. I think its a hidden gem in London where you can while away the hours over good food in a grand location. If youre looking for really good English food in a unique environment then this is the place for you.

Slightly curious cross between up market canteen environment and stylish food. Odd that coffee was brought a long time before the dessert - freshly made crumble which was good - as we would have liked the coffee last. Resonance made hearing difficult for my elderly husband. I would recommend to a friend with a warning of what to expect.
