Have been a few times, but this was definitely the best meal so far. Had the lunch menu, and the plaice was delicious. Service very good. Will be going again.

Highly disappointing. We felt like the waiters were on top of us the entire time. We hadn't finished eating our poppadoms and the waiter took them away. We hadn't finished eating our Dahl or rice and the waiter took them away. They give you a special napkin to use after your main course, my friend was in the middle of using hers and the waiter was there waiting to take it away!! Waiter came and asked if we wanted anything else, we said no and two seconds later another waiter was over asking exactly the same question. We just felt constantly interrupted and really felt like they just wanted a quick turn around with the table. A shame.

F ood was great, but we were told 2 days earlier we have a 2 hour seating window. As a result we were continuously rushed from one place to the next and the waiters constantly hovering filling this and that! Its difficult to relax during dinner at this place. For this price i would not book this place again, it almost ruins the experience

It was an amazing experience. I love the way the subtle asked what the occasion was an then delivered a birthday surprise for my friend. That was an awesome touch. Service was amazing, as was the food. Full of such wonderful flavours especially the lamb starters and the chicken main. I wasn't to keen on the kulfi/falooda but that's just personal taste not a criticism to the chef.
The additional touch was the acknowledgement that I had a wheat intolerance so was told what to avoid and dishes I was sharing with my friend, the wheat part where possible was split out so I could also eat it. The cous cous was removed from my main and replaced with a veg dish which was lovely.
All in all an amazing experience. I am defo going back!
I have been to Benares many years ago and its good to see the standard has not dropped but if anything has got much better.

The food and service were good. I personally find the black marble decor leading to the restaurant too dark and uninviting for lunchtime.

A wonderful experience from entering the restaurant to leaving. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff attentive and professional throughout the meal. My husband and I had the 3 course tasting menu and it was delicious, couldn't fault any part of it, from the menu selection, to the presentation, to the taste, it was truly wonderful and would recommend it to everyone.

The whole tasting menu was excellent - every course including even the amuse bouche was full of so many individual flavours.
