We did the fixed price lunch deal, to experience Michelin * Indian on a budget and were not at all disappointed. Subtle spicing, superbly cooked lamb pasanda starter...excellent mains. Nicely matched but pricey wines as is normal at this level...Cool vibe and sophisticated bar area made us want to go back for an evening visit and kick off with cocktails..!! It will be done.! Excellent service and nice conversation with Guest Relations Manager Ana before leaving....( thank you for the Lisbon restaurant recommendations..!!!) altogether a very pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon..!!!

Delicious food and excellent service - looking forward to trying out the recipes in the cookbook that was a part of the offer.

A nice lunch from the "deal" with matching wine which worked well.
We needed to wait for our table a short while at the bar. At this short time 3 waiters asked if we wanted a drink which I thought a little too eager sell.
The food was good and the wine that they matched was good.

If you enjoy Indian food you must visit this restaurant. I loved everything about it. We matched the wine to the food choices and it was fantastic. We'll definitely be going again.

Excellent food, service was top notch and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great.
The 6 course taster menu was delicious and couldn't fault a thing with it.
Would definitely recommend Benares for a special occasions visit.

Excellent service, delicious food. We took our small baby and the restaurant were very accommodating. We ate in the wine "cellar" which was quite atmospheric if a touch cold. We had a three course menu and a tasting menu which were both delicious. A couple of restaurant bloggers were in the same area and didn't quite know the volume of their voices for such an intimate room but it was quite funny watching them take photos of the food. Overall definitely worth a visit and I'd like to go again.
