Unfortunately the food was very poor, it is usually it is very good but they had run out of most food, the pate was full of salt, it would
Have been better if they had closed for food until they had a delivery, they were only serving people that had booked, not a good night.

We normally really like this restaurant and have recommended it regularly - however last night we were a party of 5 and my rump steak was very gristly - when I mentioned to the waitress, she said 'oh yes, we have told our suppliers about this' - however, perhaps the chef should have taken the rump steak off the menu? Instead, I ate as much as I could - but it didn't cut easy and took ages to chew - when asking for the bill at that point I had to say to the waitress could she get permission to reduce our bill in light of the really awful rump steak - she said she would - they took off only£4.50 (one of our desserts). The French fries were also not as nice as normal and were served cold to all of us. A real shame as this is the only time out of our many visits that there was a problem.

    Very disappointed after our visit.
Starters arrived almost an hour after being ordered. The prawns were warm and tasteless and were returned. Our main course eventually arrived but not as ordered i.e. Sweet potatoes plus ordinary chips, wrong coleslaw.
Service was sloppy and very casual. Complaints accepted with a shrug as if this was a regular occurrence.
Needless to say, we shall not be retuning.

    A very pleasant Sunday lunch

Good ambience and although the venue was large it retained a country pub feel. Service pleasant and efficient and very appreciative of tip - not always the case where it can often come across as a right. Menu selection more than adequate although not spectacular although I have no idea what I would add to it!!!! Quality of food and presentation excellent. First time visit but unlikely to be last.

Excellent evening celebrating a birthday. Great time.

Despite being very busy service was not impaired. Not for the first time we were served by Naomi who is to be commended. The only adverse comment is that in our mid eighties being addressed as "you guys' is inappropriate. As usual the food was excellent.
