We had a lovely meal and a lovely time, the food, drinks and puddings were all very nice. All the staff were very professional, friendly and approachable. We sat opposite the bar and so the only minus was a cold draft each time the door to the downstairs was opened. But all in, a good time was had by us all!

Good central location, next to the New Theatre in the heart of the town. The restaurant in small - bijou style, with a family friendly atmosphere. Sharing boards as as a starter are meagre for £12. Mains are cooked chilled (pastas) in satches, nice dishes, good flavour - but again over priced.

Booked a table for 8 people, including children and grandmothers as a treat for the family before going to the New Theatre next door. The table was booked for 5.45pm and show started at 7.30pm. We thought 90 mins should be enough for dinner, arrived on time and ordered at 5.50pm but by 7.10pm we were told " it will be another 10 minutes" before the main courses came! Had to cancel the order and leave hungry so we didn't miss the curtain rising. The waiting staff were coping as best as they could with the huge number of tables in the restaurant but were overwhelmed and the kitchen was visibly in confusion. The waiter apologised and our starters were free but with, the £40 drinks bill, it still left us hungry and with a bad taste in the mouth. Sadly this was not the first time we've had to leave here before the meal was complete due to slow service. We will not be returning. It's handy for the theatre but if you risk it, I would allow a lot of extra time before the show! Thankfully the show at the New Theatre was excellent.....
