On arrival we were greeted at the door by what appeared to be the duty manager who informed us that we could not enter the restaurant as it was full. After pushing the door open again I informed the lady that we had a booking and eventually she let us in.
We hadn't even got half way through our starter when the main course arrived.Felt rushed throughout meal.
    Food well below par too.
    Shan't be back.

When we went in chef was sat at table and staff were all on their phones it seemed a problem to serve us. Food was very average and over priced Would not go again

Very average. I know it's a "chain" and it's not pretending to be fine dining but the food should be better than this. The main courses were OK but we chose the vegetarian sharing platter to start and it was so poor! The ingredients probably cost no more than £1.50 but the price was £11.45 and there was hardly any cooking skill involved! And it was hardly Italian - no olives, no olive oil or balsamic vinegar. The menu said artichokes - well there were a few flakes that wouldn't have constituted half an artichoke scattered on some rocket; and the mozzarella was no more than a couple of teaspoon size dollops that were melted by the time the dish reached our table. As we were sat next to the kitchen pass we could see the food under the heat lamps (so also warming and wilting the salad and drying out the very tasteless toasted bread even more) and it sat there for 4-5 minutes before I pointed it out to a waitress. To be fair the manager dealt with our concerns well enough with an apology, a free bowl of olives and the price of the starter knocked off the bill. I think BP need to up their game if they are going to survive in the crowded Italian restaurant market.
