A hotly-anticipated arrival in Soho, Belgo is part of the Belgian restaurant group established way back in in the 1990s. Choose your favourite brew from the Belgo bar, which showcases over 50 different beers.

Favourites on the Belgo menu include shredded duck croquettes and Mussels traditionelle. For something a little bit different, swap the classic mussel sauce for kimchi or smoked chorizo. To finish, guests can build their own indulgent pudding, with a squishy Belgian waffle as the base. Belgo also offers a dedicated children's menu, as well as pre-theatre and express menus.

Sprawled over 2 floors with huge windows, an open kitchen and walls decked with colourful pictures and photographs, Belgo has a laidback but vibrant atmosphere. Belgo Soho is equipped with 4 individually themed caves, seating up to 14 people, offering the ultimate private dining experience.

In one of central London’s buzziest areas, Belgo is a 5-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

Starter was undercooked, cream was off in the dessert - but main (chicken) was good. Service was awful though with a disinterested American lady on the front desk a good example - had to be constantly asked to serve us rather than attentively waiting our table. Poor restaurant overall.

The restaurant was very busy when we went, which is perhaps why the service and food weren't very good. The pancake dessert didn't taste freshly made which is disappointing given how quick and easy it is to make pancakes. We weren't impressed and won't eat there again.

Seemingly a great deal but the food was mediocre at best and the service horrendous.

Booked the drink + 3 courses for £19 offer for Sunday lunch at 2:30pm. Beer was a good size. Only cola/lemonade included in the offer as soft drink option, but as I cannot drink fizzy drinks friendly staff very kindly bent the rules and allowed me to have a juice. Food was delicious and the offer good value - portions remained good size. We enjoyed the Cheesy Croquets, Mussels, the waffle and the crepe.
Service was a little slow, but when I asked that our desserts be brought really quickly because we needed to leave, everybody stepped up. Of course the restaurant was less busy by then (4pm).
Unfortunately there were some down sides - the seating area was small, tables very close together, music too loud especially for lunch time, Ladies toilets had large puddles on the floor.

Food OK but chaotic, slow service. Took 3 attempts to get the bill correct.

Lively atmosphere. My BBQ chicken was more than ample, and tasty. The lobster bisque though was very runny and not tasty. My friend's calamari was oily and her burger adequate. This was for the 3 courses for £19.00, so average food for a cheap meal. The staff, though, were great. Judging by the number of people there, though, it would seem that the food on the full menu may well be better?
