I enjoyed the meal very much. The staff were polite and attentive and the food delicious. The only blight on the experience was the fairly loud background music.

In a converted former bank, Belgo – Holborn serves superb Belgian cuisine and beers. Boasting contemporary surroundings, the bank vault in the restaurant has been converted into a beer cellar.

Uncomplicated yet delicious Belgian delicacies are served on the Belgo menu. Favourites include parma ham with celeriac remoulade, wild boar sausages with Belgian stoemp mash and berry jus, or there’s always the house favourite − mussels with cream, white wine and garlic. Belgo also offers a dedicated children's menu, as well as pre-theatre and express menus.

The Belgo restaurant drinks menu offers one of the largest selections of Belgian beers in the UK. As well as renowned beers brewed by monks within Trappist monasteries, there’s also a range of tasty fruit brews and blonde ales. The dessert menu at Belgo London offers decadent treats such as Brussels-style waffles, and a Belgian chocolate bread and butter pudding.

Between the Strand and Holborn, Kingsway Belgo is only 4 minutes’ walk from Holborn Tube Station.

The food was mediocre , I had calamares to start and they were chewy and tasteless. Burger for main which was ok but the bun was stale and when I asked for mayonnaise it was discoloured and looked like they had left it sitting out for bourse and tasted like fish. The crepe was as tough as cardboard . The service was appalling and we had to keep getting up and going over to the bar to get any attention. Please don't bother eating here!

Great food- they can really do moules! Good set menu on offer. Attentive service, which there should be as a more than 10% service charge is added! Go early if you like peace though, as there are no soft furnishings and it's noisy when full!

The food wasn't very nice. The chips were too hard. The dessert was cold and hard. We did complain about the dessert and they took it off the bill. The service was very good. I don't think we will be returning.

Friendly welcome, service prompt but not rushed, set menu was good and we all tried different items and enjoyed what we had chosen. Value for money, on a main busy London road but noise and rush did not disturb our meal.

The star deal was well worth it! Very tasty and pleasing to the eye! The Belgian beer selection is awesome.. Defo try the Jimmy Hendrix if your a lover of passion fruit! Highly recommend

    Not a very good experience.
Firstly was told that they didn't know what soft drinks were available with the set meal, ordered a small beer and was given a yard of ale, which was not included in the set meal deal.
Main course came with a salad, said I was allergic to tomatoes, salad arrived with tomatoes, when shown to the waitress she said they were onions!
For dessert ordered a waffle and was given a crepe.
When the bill came was overcharged and took a ridiculously long time to rectify.
All in all not great and won't be returning.

My wife had croquettes, mussels and waffle. Very good. Waffle particularly light. I had lobster bisque, chicken and waffle. Soup nice and hot. Half of chicken was a little too large for me as I am not a big eater.
