Friendly welcome, service prompt but not rushed, set menu was good and we all tried different items and enjoyed what we had chosen. Value for money, on a main busy London road but noise and rush did not disturb our meal.

In a converted former bank, Belgo – Holborn serves superb Belgian cuisine and beers. Boasting contemporary surroundings, the bank vault in the restaurant has been converted into a beer cellar.

Uncomplicated yet delicious Belgian delicacies are served on the Belgo menu. Favourites include parma ham with celeriac remoulade, wild boar sausages with Belgian stoemp mash and berry jus, or there’s always the house favourite − mussels with cream, white wine and garlic. Belgo also offers a dedicated children's menu, as well as pre-theatre and express menus.

The Belgo restaurant drinks menu offers one of the largest selections of Belgian beers in the UK. As well as renowned beers brewed by monks within Trappist monasteries, there’s also a range of tasty fruit brews and blonde ales. The dessert menu at Belgo London offers decadent treats such as Brussels-style waffles, and a Belgian chocolate bread and butter pudding.

Between the Strand and Holborn, Kingsway Belgo is only 4 minutes’ walk from Holborn Tube Station.

The food wasn't very nice. The chips were too hard. The dessert was cold and hard. We did complain about the dessert and they took it off the bill. The service was very good. I don't think we will be returning.

    Not a very good experience.
Firstly was told that they didn't know what soft drinks were available with the set meal, ordered a small beer and was given a yard of ale, which was not included in the set meal deal.
Main course came with a salad, said I was allergic to tomatoes, salad arrived with tomatoes, when shown to the waitress she said they were onions!
For dessert ordered a waffle and was given a crepe.
When the bill came was overcharged and took a ridiculously long time to rectify.
All in all not great and won't be returning.

My wife had croquettes, mussels and waffle. Very good. Waffle particularly light. I had lobster bisque, chicken and waffle. Soup nice and hot. Half of chicken was a little too large for me as I am not a big eater.

Very good food cheap efficient and great waiting staff. We did the set menu and had 45 mins as we had theatre tickets. Three courses later we made it with 2 mins too spare!

Good food and excellent waitress. We had a disabled guest who had no arms and she made things as easy as possible and took very good care of us all at the table. The only drawback was that it was very noisy and it was hard to have a conversation.

I went here for my birthday and I was not impressed with the service. Orders were incorrect and particularly, one order was incorrect FOUR TIMES, then the waiter came over and said 'Enjoy it', in a very odd and scary voice, so this person had to go without eating and STILL HAD TO PAY, even though they got our order wrong four times, brought the food back cold, the meat was not well cooked in the burger, and he had to pay for a meal he didn't even touch.. I was not impressed by the waiters lack of knowledge about the deal, as it caused too much confusion. Furthermore, the tables were not clean. My only good comment is the BBQ sauce and ketchup were nice. I will never be returning to Belgo, nor will the other 10 of my party because money is not to be wasted.
