With an inviting glass façade, chefs at Beijing Dumpling create Chinese food in full view of the bustle outside. In the heart of Chinatown, traditional dishes contrast with modern décor to form a vibrant, authentic restaurant.
The Beijing Dumpling menu offers traditional starters like satay chicken, and crispy duck with pancakes, as well as a house speciality befitting of the restaurant’s name: a range of meat, fish and vegetarian dumplings. Aromatic mains include chicken with cashew nuts, pepper salted pork chops and braised bean curd with Chinese mushrooms.
Classic noodle and rice dishes are on offer, as well as the enticing Indonesian-style fried rice and Malaysian-style fried ho fun. Even the drinks menu is exotic, with traditional Chinese teas being joined by a fresh soya bean drink and a sugar cane root drink. The décor is modern, the large glass windows revealing the wooden-panelled walls and ambient low lighting behind.
Beijing Dumpling in London is a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

Service was shocking! They only had two types of dumplings left and it was only 7PM. Dumplings were below average, very doughy...
Overall - way too expensive for the food and service, wouldn't recommend

Amazing food, simple but good. Fried dumplings were the only thing I'd say was slightly less than great. Steamed dumpling awesome, salt and pepper squid awesome, eggplant 'thing' awesome. Service is passable, but youre here for the food, you're not here for the service. 3.50 Tsingtao too, bargain.

Rather basic inside, I assume to give a flavor of old Beiijing, but the food was really good. We booked early as we had seats at the theatre, which was advisable as it got very busy, by the time we left at 6.30 there was quite a queue outside. The sweet and sour fish was excellent, not at all greasy, and the portions were great value for the money, not expensive for central London. We would certainly book again.
