This was our first visit and the food was good but the waitress was terrible. It does amaze me why we hire people who don't want to work in a restaurant.

She never provided children's menu despite one of our children being 5 years old. We asked to see the dessert menu and then waited 20 minutes before she came back to take our order.

Disappointing experience and with so much choice in Edinburgh there is little chance of us returning.

Received graciously. Orders taken efficiently. Food more than acceptable. Good dining experience especially with two young children.
With our party having such a nice time, we wondered why there weren't more people in the dining room. It was virtually empty. Surely must be a publicity error here and not many people know about it.

Where to start? The cellar did not host a 10 year Beaujolais Nouveau, and the house vin rouge had been a stranger to any chilling device. Do not even get me started on the state of the sugarally watter! Shockers all round. The only redeeming feature was the predominance of female staff. As my companions sagely observed:" all these dishes will not wash themselves."

Very nice meal howvet the Sunday chicken roast was 2pieces of chicken one breast and one leg and these were very bony without much meat. The steak was ordered as medium rare however was completely raw in the middle and some had to be left . Overall nice meal.
