Whole experience fantastic. Great service and amazing food. Menu varied and every dish ordered cooked to perfection, my partner loved the belly pork and my fillet steak was the best I've ever had by far! Kids enjoyed their food too especially the desserts. We will definitely be returning very soon x lovely atmosphere and the service really couldn't be faulted. I'll be recommending to everyone I know. My favourite dining experience.

Lovely setting, the interior styling is fabulous, really nice atmosphere when we walked in. The mains were also amazing from everyone, cooked to perfection and so tasty! However the great experience ended there, we were majorly let down by the deserts (excluding the sticky toffee pudding), so a shame really as it would have been a perfect meal otherwise and I would have been back.
Cheesecake - the biscuit base wasn't set right and the ratio of base to cheesecake mix wasn't great and didn't have much flavour.
Chocolate Duo - Waitress explained was actually a trio and was a brownie, mousse and eclair. It came with no eclair, just an extra brownie. We questioned this and was just looked at blankly?
Rhubarb and Apple Crumble - A mix of shop bought apple cubes and large slices of undercooked apple with a SMALL crumble of a stale biscuit on top, definitely not a crumble was a dish of stewed fruit. The custard was so thick it wouldn't come out the small jug.
To top off the above I mentioned to the waitress some friendly feedback that the crumble wasn't very good and I think my comments should be passed on as improvements could be made so other wernt left dissapointed. The waitress then said "I won't tell him that it might upset him?" It won't upset 'him' as much as it upset me that I missed out on a yummy desert.
Finally, the service was slow from this point the restaurant was half full and we had to ask for the bill twice. Then after 10 minutes we ended up taking the bill to the till to pay as no one came over. We were ready to leave at 9.20 but didn't actually leave until 9.45 because it took that long to get the bill and pay.
Not good! I think they still have the cafe mind set but with a restaurant setting and prices!!

Our second visit for dinner at Beast and this place just gets better. The steak is obviously going to be very good, but so are the starters and cheeses. The beetroot and cheesecake was beautifully presented and delicious as was the smoked salmon fish cake. The surprìse was the charcoal cheddar cheese which was very tasty. A good selection of wines is also available. Great atmosphere and the staff are attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning and recommending to others.

Great service and a nice environment. A bit too much black pudding on the menu or in the food.

This was our first trip to The Beast and we were very happy with the meal. We found the service very good, very attentive staff. We waited a little while for our desert, the Chef came to the table and apologised for it taking to long. I think that was nice touch! Quite often Chefs just send the poor waitress/waiter out to deal with people! Having said that the place had about 60 covers on the go so it was quite busy and we didn't wait to long, the only reason we were concerned was our 7 year old wanted her ice-cream!!! The whole family enjoyed it! We don't think our two year old has ever enjoyed a meal that much!
Thanks very much to the staff at The Beast, I have already recommended your place to a lot of out friends.
