Very cute cafe. We went for an "English Tea" since we were visiting England for the first time. I went with my teenage daughter who is an avid baker so we thought a tea in a bakery/ cafe would be perfect. I think for the more traditional experience we were hoping for, the tea did not quite hit the mark. The pricing of the tea, which is comparable to some area hotels, led us to believe this would be more of an experience. This was way more casual than we had expected. The savory aspects of the tea were not yummy and other than the scone and cream, which were delicious, the bakery items were just ok.

Staff friendly if a little slow and forgetful. The afternoon tea itself was pretty rubbish! Very very dry mini brioche buns with their tops sliced off and very little filling on top (fillings were tasty but not enough to cover the dry bun). Scones good but could have made better myself (rather lopsided!) and they had forgotten the jam. Cupcakes had a rather synthetic tasting topping, and little nibbles being brownies etc all rather non-descript. I'd booked this place due to the convenient location but in hindsight, I should have saved the occasion for a decent London hotel, where the food tends to be fresher with more attention to detail and the service second to none with staff taking pride in their work.

I thought the service was slow. There was a dirty table next to us that didn't get cleared until half an hour after we arrived. Manager was shouting at staff in front of us. Food was ok? I've had better. I won't be dining here again. Awful service, over priced and rotton atmosphere.

Wonderful location experience and service. Would definitely recommend. Shouldn't complain about the weather but no air conditioning made the upstairs extremely hot on sunny afternoon!

the gin-tonic gluten free cake was amazing. It was recommended by staff and I really enjoyed it.

I brought my friend who was visiting from Paris for Afternoon Tea and she seemed to enjoy it. The Afternoon Tea (we asked for vegetarian) was delicious - the sandwiches, scones and cakes. I have no complaints about the food at all and your staff were lovely and helpful. My only qualm is the decor. The interior of Bea's of Bloomsbury in St Paul's didn't look well kept - some walls had paint coming off them.
