A large, refurbished stone building in Street, Bear Inn is a contemporary pub and rotisserie restaurant. Down the road from festival supergiant Glastonbury, Bear Inn offers an extensive and versatile menu.

Rotisserie chicken stars on the Bear Inn menu, available in traditional, barbecue and coq au vin variations, while fragrant Indian sauces can be added to create ‘rotisserie ruby’ curries. There are also stacked gourmet burgers, flame-grilled steaks, slow-cooked ribs and lighter options like a pesto-crusted salmon fillet with salad.

A range of British ales at this Somerset pub keep company with full-bodied wines and creative cocktails, including ‘saints and sinners’ options, which pit light and refreshing recipes against delectable, rich opponents. Bear Inn boasts an expansive beer garden and a summer terrace, while inside there’s a spacious reception area and an eye-catching rotisserie display.

Occupying a tranquil spot in Street, Bear Inn is a 6-minute drive from Glastonbury and a further 10-minute drive from the Glastonbury Festival plot.

Nice friendly relaxed time with decent food. Although neither of the desserts we wanted were available as the menu is about to change, however the recommendations of the waitress were really nice.

Watch out for the parking as they've installed some new parking system, my experience from last time if this meant I avoided it and parked else where

Had to wait 45 minutes for meal which was very disappointing, service was not warm and welcoming. Would have like to have been kept updated asked if we needed more drinks etc. Also music was too loud which was rather off putting, was going to ask to turn it down but so hungry and sort on car parking time just wanted to eat and go. What has happened to the child's area? Now with an arcade game and another machine where you have to put money in!

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Drinks and food brought to you with a smile. Food was great at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed our burgers and scampi. Pleasant environment.

Young lad behind the bar was xcellent immediately attentive. I arrived on my own was shown to our table & drinks brought in minutes.
Kayleigh our waitress was spot on as always, as my guests were late she gave us plenty of time to settle & then choose from the menu. Food was good, could have done with bit more salad with Jacket Pot but on the whole great value.
Always come back so must be good.

Lovely, cosy seating areas, it was our first visit,so we didn,t know what to expect. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, full waitress service, brought our drinks straight away, took our order, no problems as we all had the roast beef dinner, it was delicious, lots of veg and extra gravy plus a gorgeous bowl of cauliflower cheese. The staff were friendly and respectful, checking if everything was satisfactory, made us feel right at home. We will certainly be returning to try the steaks that we saw someone else having, they looked delicious.. Many thanks Lynne

Staffing seemed to be an issue at the bar and table service. Had to ask and chase restaurant staff. Just to be acknowledged would have been nice. No menus on table, had to go to the bar.
