Had a very enjoyable meal here. Good choice of food. Different to the normal pub grub. Good portion sizes.
Will definitely be going back. Bookev

Firstly the starter! Terrible. Prawn Cocktail with Lobster tail. Two prawns and very little lobster, in two cases stringy pices, well one piece in one case! Served in a tall coffee glass at £7.95 each. Very very poor and way to expensive. The main was a bit better but not first class. The service was also not good. A couple of the waitresses were quite miserable and the one that asked us about desert seemed quite huffy when we declined! Overall very let down by the standard and quality of this restaurant. Oh, seeing one of the cooking staff handling chips into dishes with his bare hands was totally not good.

As usual our meals were superb. A diverse choice, chicken, steak, veggie lasagna and tempura battered king prawns. E very thing was as we expected, excellent - no need to say more. The restaurant was buzzing but the service was efficient and polite with nothing forgotten as is often the case at other places when they are busy. It's fab to have such a reliable and high class restaurant within walking distance.

All my family love dining at Banners the food is beautifully cooked and always served nice and hot. The service is always friendly and helpful.
The breakfasts we've had at Banners are definitely the best we've had anywhere.

Welcomed by the staff and shown to our seats when we arrived. We decided on a platter to share which was delicious and then we both had the hanging skewers. I had the lamb which was lovely and asked for it to come with salad instead of fries or potatoes. My husband had the dauphinose potatoes and they were a little hard, he mentioned this to the staff and they told the kitchen. We would have liked to see a steak on the menu for children as our son had to end up having a full size steak which cost more than our own meals but he enjoyed it and it was cooked rare just how he liked it, bearing in mind out son is only 6. An enjoyable experience and we will be returning most definitely! Also a great option that you can take your own alcohol, local shop a few feet away.
