When I booked online, I mentioned to Banners that it was a birthday celebration and could they do something special? No reply from them and when we went to Banners no mention was made of my request. Why bother to provide a space to request something, if Banners take no notice of it?
When we gave our order, we asked what the mixed vegetables were, we were told they consisted of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. When the meal came the vegetables were carrots and cabbage. One of our party does not like cabbage ( that's why we asked what the veg was in the first place) but when we mentioned it to the waitress she was very defensive (veg change every day, I can't do any veg for you without cabbage as it's all mixed etc). She went and took the veg off the plate and we went without. Her attitude was poor, not trying to help the customer but a 'take it or leave it' attitude. All of us mentioned how disappointed we were with the service and not sure anyone would return.
And all this to celebrate a birthday!!!!

I have dined here severel times. 1st choice for excellent steaks (my favourite). Good friendly service. Substantial portions, well cooked. No license so take your own alcohol drinks. All my friends love dining here.

We had a great evening there was plenty of buzz and atmosphere and my steak tasted lovely and was cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed their food, the only mild criticism we had was the risotto which was a little stodgy.
Best of all, they are unlicensed which means you can take a great bottle of wine and the bill is very reasonable. A good evening all round.

This was the first time I had visited. I came with my friend and our two daughters. The children's portions were really generous and tasty and the adult burger was the best I had ever tasted. We will certainly be visiting again.
