The restaurant were great when we were late and accommodated us and also were fine when we asked to move table. The waiter was lovely and friendly albeit a tad pushy when ordering; wanting extras etc. The starters were all great, and the wine, it was however a bit slow all night but that was fine for us. Great atmosphere. Unfortunately the main course of steak wasn't great. It was cold, the sauce was cold and it was very very tough. We had ordered spinach as a side and I had to ask where that was they said it was coming but I'd almost finished my dish then. The other guests weren't impressed with the mains for the money.

We had a lovely meal here. To be honest, we turned up early and they were able to seat us on a nice table out in their conservatory overlooking the canals and NIA. We were also in time to take the offer of the early dinner where you can select 1,2 or 3 courses. We went for 3 course for £22.50 each, I had Asparagus and Duck Egg as a starter whilst my wife had Duck Salad. I went for Cheese Burger for my main course and my wife went for Fish and Chips which she thought was a bit too big and I ended up finishing the fish. We both went for Sticky Toffee pudding as our desert which we both agreed was a "taste sensation" and my wife went as far as saying it was the best she's ever had. My wife had a Gin & Tonic and I had a pint of Moretti and a pint of Amstel with my wife finishing off with a decaf Americano with milk and the bill was £70 which we didn't think was too bad at all. Great service, lovely atmosphere in the place, very lively, good music playing in the background. We really enjoyed it and it was a nice way to start the evening as we went off to see Micky Flanagan in concert straight afterwards.

Service very slow, waited too long to be served drinks before meal. Waited ages to take good order. Food good. Ambience good. Bar area tragic, very slow, bar staff bickering with customers. Outside heaters too hot, to the point of feeling like face & hair burning. Untidy outside.

We celebrated my wife's birthday last night at the Bank Birmingham as this is our favourite restaurant. Pleased to say that the welcome, the ambience, the service, the engagement and the food were as expected of a very high standard. Bizarrely, even the music played was from our favourite era! The acknowledgement by the staff of the occasion was a very pleasant surprise and very much appreciated - the 'Happy Birthday' plate of truffles was the perfect end to a lovely, memorably evening. Thank you very much.
