Food excellent, great choice, lots of favourite standard dishes, could have chosen five different main courses. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Chicken with mashed potato felt just like 'mamma used to make'. Reasonable price. Couldn't fault it.

Lovely cocktail -Secret of Provence. Pre Theatre drink. Excellent location for Cambridge Theatre. Post theatre dinner, fish and chips lovely. Great vegetarian option. Staff friendly but go easy on the up selling, it can be off putting.

We had an early, pre-theatre meal with friends, having had "test", working lunch here a few weeks ago which I had enjoyed. We had three mains - the burger (which was rated 'brilliant'); the salmon - 'very good' though the accompanying noodles were a little over-generously salty) and the crab linguine - delicious. Service was friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Deserves to do well (it was surprisingly quiet even though it was early).

Great vegetarian mains, few vegetarian starters. Attentive service & chilled atmosphere.

Four friends met for pre-theatre meal and were very impressed by the ambience, decor and very attentive and friendly service. The special (chicken and bacon cobb salad with avocado and blue cheese) was excellent, as was the divine vanilla pannacotta with rhubarb. As a founder member of Balans, I was very pleased with this new branch.

Had a fantastic time and a thoroughly enjoyable meal in a particularly friendly atmosphere. The waiter was great and very helpful. I absolutely loved the eggs from hell, my wife was blown away with superb eggs benedict and my granddaughter loved the pancake with the raspberry sorbet.
