With stunning views over London from its 7th-floor rooftop garden setting, Babylon at The Roof Gardens is a chic restaurant serving delicious cuisine and cocktails, 100 feet above Kensington High Street.
Just around the corner from High Street Kensington Tube Station and surrounded by trendy shops, Babylon is a splendid restaurant for families (children are welcome), couples seeking a romantic meal, friends on a shopping spree, and business colleagues.
The frequently changing menu of classic and contemporary British dishes makes for an eclectic selection, and the Babylon Terrace always entices guests to dine al fresco in the summer months. A seafood and champagne bar boasts glorious panoramic views of the city in the summer, and in the winter months cosy up under blankets on the terrace. Babylon in Kensington also offers a selection of baked cheeses and delicious fresh breads.
Private dining areas are also available, for celebrating special occasions, or just enjoying a more intimate meal. Live jazz music accompanies the dinner service on Tuesday nights at Babylon in London.
Diners are welcome to explore The Roof Gardens on the 6th floor, however the gardens are often hired for private events so we strongly recommend you phone ahead.

Food was overpriced relative to the quality. My chicken starter was flavourless. Roast cauliflower better but again lacking interest. Live music much too loud and extremely intrusive.

Outstanding restaurant, cuisine and service. Very friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. Wonderful ambiance overlooking the amazing and very beautiful roof gardens full of trees, fruit trees, herbs, water features, flamingos, ducks and relaxing seating areas with formal planting.
We had the set menu which offered an excellent choice (including Dinglly Dell pork) for a very acceptable price. Presentation of every dish was superb.
We'll definitely return later in the year and eat all fresco!
Thank you to all members of staff.

I took my daughter for her 21st birthday, it was amazing! We were taken to the terrace for drinks, the views over London are fantastic. We then chose the 2 course set lunch, which was delicious and a very reasonable price. Drinks are expensive but you expect that. For sweet, they brought out a little cake with a candle and 'Happy Birthday' written in chocolate on the plate! It was so much more than I expected. And a great start to a brilliant day in London. I will be coming back!

Overall really pleasant experience. Nice food, good view but was a little windy, so we didn't get to go out.

From the moment my wife and I walked into Babylon we were treated to a special night. Setting was beautiful, staff were amazing and the food was mouthwatering. Lamb main dish was superbly cooked as well as the pork belly. Cannot fault a single thing. We will become a regular diners here that's for sure.

Due to overrunning refurbishment the booking was cancelled. Would have been nice to be told at time of booking that the facility was currently closed and subject to reopening on time.

What a beautiful and unexpected place to find !! On top of a 7 story building in the middle of london. We saw the flamingo's and beautiful gardens and the cow!
The meal was exceptional and the wine exquisite - don't be afraid to go for the cheapest wine! - it was excellent. The service was impeccable and make sure you go to the toilets to see the aquarium! Would definitely go here again when in london
