With stunning views over London from its 7th-floor rooftop garden setting, Babylon at The Roof Gardens is a chic restaurant serving delicious cuisine and cocktails, 100 feet above Kensington High Street.

The award-winning food on the Babylon menu is best described as contemporary British and dishes change regularly to ensure only the freshest seasonal ingredients are used.

The frequently changing menu of classic and contemporary British dishes makes for an eclectic selection, from sharing boards on a Monday evening to weekday set menus for lunch and traditional Sunday roasts. Babylon comes alive on Tuesday nights with the smooth tunes of live jazz and the lounge is the perfect spot to enjoy an aperitif or post-dinner drinks.

With its glorious panoramic views of the city, the terrace at Babylon offers a tranquil setting to sit and enjoy drinks at any time of the year. A seafood and champagne bar boasts in the summer, and in the winter months cosy up under blankets and heated lamps with hot cocktails.

Private dining areas are also available at Babylon in London. The private dining room welcomes up to 12 guests, with its own terrace overlooking the resident flamingos. For larger groups of up to 30 guests, a stylish semi-private area can be booked, and Babylon can also be hired exclusively for dinner and cocktail receptions of up to 120 guests.

Diners are welcome to explore The Roof Gardens on the 6th floor, however the gardens are often hired for private events so it is recommended that you phone ahead.

I rang to say I would be late and that proved no problem to them, in fact when I arrived the delightful receptionist said no Babylon client is late.
The food was excellent and the service just right -not overbearing but there when you needed it.
The venue is superb with the roof gardens just below; tables not too close to each other and the noise level not too high so we could chat happily.

We were excited about coming up from Bristol to dine especially at the Babylon for a special occasion on a recommendation, but I have to say all three of us were disappointed with the experience, we have no complaint about any of the staff, but the gardens were in poor condition, weeds in between the pavers etc with respect it is still winter, but it certainly needs some tender love and care.
The food was average, two of us had ordered risotto, when it arrived it was almost cold, the mushrooms were chewy, overall a small portion and not good, we ordered the £21 per bottle of wine but was charged £26.50, there was obviously a misunderstanding with that order. We were asked on departure at reception about our dinning experience and we did raise our issues, we were told that the food had probably been left near an open door before being delivered to our table that was why it was not hot !! hardly an excuse, we would not expect to pay for such poor quality food, but by this time we had already settled the bill.
Cannot complain about the service or staff but overall very, very disappointing for a special occasion.
    Would value a refund.

From the moment we arrived the hospitality was excellent. The dining experience was excellent with a great selection of foods, all well explained by the waiter. I will be returning and have already highly recommended this restaurant to friends and family

Great venue and a good Sunday roast for Mother's Day. Service was a little slow but the food was good, apart from the sirloin beef, never had anything so tough in my life :-(

Delicious food. Large portions with plenty of vegetables with Sunday roast. Very good value for money and no hike in price for Mothering Sunday. Attentive staff . Stunning views. Although we were told on booking that access to Roof Gardens would not be possible due to a private function the staff made this possible. A very enjoyable experience and we will visit again

Great venue, food and service up to recieving our Prosecco at the table.
On opening the bottle the Prosecco fizzed over landing on the restaurant floor and splashing on a couple of our guests - no-ones fault and we didnt blame the waiter, however when he proceeded to use the same bottle to fill our glasses I was extremely disppointed that we were not offered a new bottle. As I didnt want to cause a fuss I didnt mention it as we had brought our mums for lunch for Mothers Day
