Baboto is multipurpose establishment, mutating from tea room, to restaurant to cocktail bar depending on the time of day or what you are looking for. Situated in a splendid listed building the central Paris (Rue de la Ferronnerie), the inside is brand spanking new, unlike the outside which dates back to 1669. You can choose between the restaurant , the balcony or the terrace to eat and there is also a private room for hire on the first floor. Baboto's founder Daniel Alauze, wanted to create a venue that conjures up the atmosphere of Southern Europe, a place where people would want to relax and just hang out as if they were in their own living room. The interior is chic and designer while remaining laid back and the prices are very reasonable. For lunch you can choose a selection of tapas style snacks, large salads, pasta dishes or the dish of the day. You can have sit down lunch or if you're on the move snack at one of the bar tables. The dishes come from a variety of influences from Andalucía with Parillada of fish to the Camargue with the grilled Camarague beef. There is lots of fresh fish and regional produce as well as a great wine list dominate by the Langue d'Oc region with the possibility to try wine by the glass and several organic wines to sample. In the evening the cocktail bar gets going with a variety of pop, rock and latino sounds and lots of cocktails to choose from.
