Food and service were great
Toilets were revolting - the four of us are seriously considering whether to eat there again, if that is the state of the toilets, are the kitchens as bad?

Customer reviews for Azzurro - Woking
(**** 21 April 2017 by Neil from Camberley
The restaurant is very understaffed, they are clearly very busy due to the proximity to the theatre. I feel that they have a captive audience and they need quick turnaround and service suffers as a result. Staff are very inattentive, pizza was ordered with a soft egg and came with a very hard egg but was unable to get staff attention, no one came to enquire if the food was ok. The wine was extremely over priced.

Service started well but soon had to chase for drinks and bread and the bill. Food OK but poorly presented no salad on dish just a lump of rocket that looked like it had been thrown on and a teaspoon of olive oil dropped on top. Not offered child's menu had to ask for my 10year old.

Food was not great, obviously been microwaved, it appeared very quickly and to hot to eat.

I was disappointed on my visit to Azzurro on Wed 19 Apr 17. I have dined here many times but this time the food was not good. I had a pollo pizza which was soft, thin and lifeless. There was only about five thin pieces of chicken and a very thin layer of anything else. At £11.95 each I would expect more. The pizzas are normally well covered. The insalata salad had three chunks of tomato and four half slice of cucumber. The rest was mixed leaves. At £3.95 what a profit margin you are making. The staff were very good as always. Come on Azzurro stop being stingy and give the customer a fair plate of food. I would recommend to a friend still as usually good.

Not as good as in the past, it would be better if they use lots of sauces etc to leave them on the sides as sometimes they put far too much on, especially the burgers, we literally scraped loads mustard/mayonnaise off as it killed the flavour of the burgers. We have been here lots in the past and usually find everything excels but a bit disappointed this time even the service was bad, the waiters looked like they weren't enjoying what they were doing even though we tried to be pleasant with them therefore we didn't leave a tip which we have always done previously.

As usual we chose to eat at Azzurro before the theatre in Woking, it's convenient and we have always enjoyed the quality of food and service. However after having the Spaghetti Carbonara (my usual default choice as I enjoy it so) almost halfway through the performance I had to go to the toilet when I had stomach cramps and then sickness/ diorreah and we had to leave.
The Carbonara tasted fine, but had much more liquid (greasy) than normal - wether it was this or a bug I don't know but to be fake having eaten there on many occasions it was the first time anything like this had occurred and my wife thourghly enjoyed her meal.
Please note my rating of the food and experience only reflects this instance and usually I would rate it as a 4/5.

Had to send my main course back, it was just dry spaghetti with few prawns on top.
Was rectified, but spoilt the night as my friend ate hers whilst I waited for a replacement.
