One of the best restaurants in Cape Town, with beautiful view and interesting dining experience...

Overall, we were not happy at all with our dining experience. The table behind the reception of Azure and at the entrance to the kitchen was definitly not the location of first choice. The waiting time between the starters and the main course of almost one hour (!) is basically unacceptable. In the end the bill was not correct, a glass of wine was charged that we did not order nor did we consume it.
Positive: The food was very good, especially the Cevice as starter.

We were guests in the hotel and booked via internet well in advance. On arrival we asked for a nice table. At the evening they tried to give us the worst table in the restaurant. After insisting we got a table at the window. The table they intended to give us, was not used during the entire evening.
Regarding our orders the service was quite responsive.
We ordered oysters as starters and the seafood platter, the most expensive dish on the menu. Nevertheless, they kept us waiting for the main dish for nearly one hour. We were ready to skip the dinner. After giving them a finale deadline, they eventually managed to provide the food. The food was excellent, but this service was more than poor . It nearly spoiled our evening. As an excuse we expected more than a bare excuse, e.g. a nice drink or something else, but nothing happened, really disappointing.
This is not what we expected from a first class restaurant.

Everything was amazing, except for one slight incident. I told the waiter that I didn't want onion chunks in my food. We took the first tasting menu and the tuna course came with onions our waiter was so amazing and took it back right away. When the new dish arrived it was brought by the manager and he was quite Rude. He placed the dish and I said thank you and he looked at me with a very rude expression and he said nothing but walked away. I am thinking that maybe his role needs to be retrained. He was short and wearing a suit with dark hair.... But I don't know his name thoigh . I hope this gets looked at.
Everything else was delicious !!! And our waiter was amazing!!!

    Best: wine menu
Worst : table resrevation and treatment, external guests are treated far behind hotel residents in this context

Booking breakfast at a hotel - I was under the impression that we would have access to the buffet style and be seated in this area as well. Unfortunately we were shown to the Grill Cafe where there was no atmosphere or people and option of 3 ala carte items on the menu. Voicing our concerns to Thandi- our waitress - she very kindly offered to ask Management if we could partake in 'buffet' option but eat in the Grill Cafe. Thank you Thandi for going out of your way to accomodate us!
