Awarded the Cotswold Life Food & Drink Award 2014 for the best tea-rooms Aunt Martha's is a traditional Victorian tea room in Drybrook. Delighting in perfect table etiquette, the venue was named also Finest Tea Room 2014 by This is England. Aunt Martha’s runs frequent themed events, such as Alice in Wonderland tea parties.

The tea-rooms serve a quintessentially British selection of savoury and sweet delicacies for lunches and afternoon teas. Freshly prepared dainty sandwiches, warm scones with peach preserve and clotted cream, and delicious homemade pastries and cakes, decorated with chocolate and sugar sculptures, are served up during afternoon tea. Available in 4 different varieties, afternoon tea includes an ‘aristocratic high tea’ option with a celebratory Duchess cake.

A range of exquisite teas accompany delicacies at Aunt Martha’s in Gloucestershire, which revels in pristine table settings. A nostalgic 19th-century setting, the tea rooms are attached to a series of beautifully-manicured gardens and pavilions.

Aunt Martha’s Victorian Tea Rooms is in a leafy spot on the outskirts of the Wye Valley, 15 minutes’ drive from Ross-on-Wye.

The restaurant was cold and they had building work going on which we weren't made aware of during booking or before our arrival. As we were celebrating a special occasion, it was very disappointing. The food was pleasant although overpriced compared to other High Teas we have sampled. The quality of the food was mediocre.

Lovely and very substantial afternoon tea. Welcome and service were wonderful and the variety of teas available fascinating. The hot chocolate drinks were delicious and one of our party said it was the best hot chocolate he had ever had.

Lovely experience slightly marred by being hurried out at 4 o'clock so staff could reset tables for evening.

My partner and I had a lovely Bishops Ellicot's Afternoon tea yesterday, 17th December 2016. The food and drinks were very tasty with all the cakes and pastries homemade on the premises, and everything was beautifully presented. A thoroughly enjoyable victorian experience. We even bought some of the lovely handmade products for Christmas presents. We will visit again sometime in the new year.

Having afternoon tea at Aunt Martha's tearoom was a very interesting and enjoyable experience.
The sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious.
Aunt Martha & her team were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The only negative aspect was the price which we felt was expensive.
Thank you for a lovely afternoon spent in your company,
