Combining classic French cuisine with rustic, continental style, Aubaine Heddon Street in London is a haven of calm from nearby Regent Street. On-site bakers craft a delicious range of fresh bread and pastries, while the bar serves champagne cocktails and a predominantly French selection of wines.

A wide choice of impressive dishes features on the Aubaine menu, with lobster spaghetti, duck confit parmentier and rack of lamb among them. 35-day aged rib-eye steak and the luxurious Aubaine fillet burger are also included.

Goat’s cheese and field mushroom tart is part of the vegetarian selection, while seafood lovers can enjoy mussels, scallops and sea bass. The patisserie offers a range of exquisite tarts and gateaux, with its just-baked croissants part of the tempting Aubaine breakfast menu.

The chic style of Aubaine’s restaurants has been praised by Tatler and Harper’s Bazaar, and its broad bistro menu covers every region of France. Aubaine Heddon Street is a 5-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

Nice restaurant a little on the pricey side but good for a corporate lunch

I didn't eat here so I don't know what the food tastes like, although it looked good. However, the atmosphere was quite cold and unwelcoming and the service staff were very snooty and unsmiling, plus there were way too many waiters on shift for a rather slow Monday afternoon (three for a very small restaurant with never more than two to three groups of people) so they were standing around watching the customers - not particularly relaxing! Coffee was good though and the little lemon meringue tart was lovely.

Aubaine is in an amazing location, tucked away in a quiet courtyard behind Regent St. We went for Valentine's night and as a pre-theatre dinner, and chose the prixe fix menu for [$]. Although only a limited choice the food was superb for the price and the service was attentive and professional. There was also a bigger a la carte menu which looked great too. Would really recommend this as a romantic dinner place or light and airy lunch venue. Also try their breads..amazing!

Good food and pleasant service but the outstanding feature was the timing of the food. We were given time to eat the starter followed by a short rest before the main course arrived. Unlike so many USA restaurants we've eaten in over the last few years where the main course arrives before we have finished the starter - or even the pre-dinner drinks!
