Delicious food and attentive service. The bream dish was particularly tasty. Great deal.

From Michelin-starred chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin, Galvin at The Athenaeum champions the finest in British produce. Stepping away from their trademark French-inspired menus, modern takes on classic British dishes join Galvin favourites and a quintessential afternoon tea.

The Galvin menu showcases a host of rich flavours, in dishes such as Dingley Dell pork belly with black pudding and an apple and hazelnut salad, yellowfin tuna burger with white cabbage slaw and avocado, and potato gnocchi with braised short rib and Portobello mushrooms. Galvin classics include duck liver parfait with red onion marmalade and toasted brioche, and steak tartare with toasted sourdough.

Afternoon tea at The Athenaeum on Piccadilly is as refined as its setting. Tuck into classic finger sandwiches, pastries and cakes, and add a glass of fine champagne for extra indulgence.

Offering sophisticated dining in a 5-star setting, Galvin at The Athenaeum in London sits a short walk from both Green Park and Hyde Park Corner Tube stations.

Wonderful food...every mouthful a treat. The soused sardines well balanced, the calves liver cooked to perfection, melt in the mouth an absolute joy. The steamed lemon pudding light and delicate...a great way to end a memorable meal.

4 of us took the opportunity to lunch at Galvin and had a wonderful time. We tried to choose a variety of dishes and enjoyed all of them. Service was good - we were not continuously bothered - and professional. If only the journey from the City to Piccadilly was easier we would attend more frequently. Other guests were having afternoon tea and that also looked delicious and plentiful.

The atmosphere was sophisticated and classy.
Dining room was well lit and full of teeming staff ready to serve.

Although we booked a sunday lunch on arrival it was presumed we had booked afternoon tea.

First class food and wine however and a steal at the price

Smart and unfussy design. lovely food and attentive friendly service. Wine list pricey but excellent.

Only small gripe is that toilets are out through the lobby and upstairs. They are very smart though!

The 3 course fixed price lunch was excellent in all respects- very tasty, good choices, and well presented. It was very good value with the glass of brut champagne included. Service was also very good- quick and friendly. The restaurant also had a buzzing atmosphere, as it was busy even after 2pm.
