Drawing inspiration from trendy New York cicchetti-style restaurants, familial-style dining is perfected at Assaggetti. An array of small Italian sharing plates and light bites are crafted with Italian passion.

Magnificent and chic, Assaggetti Haymarket features a state-of-the-art grand glass chandelier, chic leather booth seating and vintage-style mirrors. There is relaxed counter stool dining at Assaggetti London or formal dining in the contemporary restaurant. Bright, modern Assaggetti is set across 2 floors and exudes a lively buzz in the dining room, which has large oak tables and an earthy colour palette.

Handmade spaghettoni and duck ragù feature on the Assaggetti menu, alongside rustic dishes like fresh black risotto with cuttlefish or spinach and ricotta pizzettine. Assaggetti presents sumptuous Italian dessert classics like creamy tiramisu or wild berry panna cotta.

A vibrant West End restaurant, Assaggetti restaurant is just next to Theatre Royal Haymarket. Picadilly Circus Tube Station is just a 4-minute walk away.

I felt the environment was good, tables well spaced out and it was really clean and tidy. Really friendly and helpful staff. Food was served really quick and efficiently. I love the look of restaurant from the outside which was really inviting and inside which like being in Italy. However the only criticism I have I have is that they stick a 12.5% gratitude on the end of your bill, I do prefer it if they allowed me to put my own tip down.

Service was excellent - food mediocre ! Ideal for pre theatre.

Beautiful food small portions. Would have preferred the tapas size options shown on online menu. Apparently the portion is not small but not big. We had to order a pizza on top of our main course & fries. Staff very friendly. Handy to theatres.

We'd not come across Italian tapas-style food before but we really enjoyed the experience. So much more fun to sample and share a selection of smaller dishes rather than having to try to plough through a mountain of spaghetti or getting bored half way through a massive pizza. Three of us shared 3 starters - the smoked duck melted in the mouth and the bruschetta was divine; the meatballs in tomato sauce could have been a teeny bit hotter but we still demolished them. Two of us shared a pizza for the main course and I had a small portion of spaghetti carbonara which was very tasty and just the right amount for me to leave a clean bowl and find a small space for a dainty dessert - a delicious tiramisu! The rose wine also went down well and with a couple of beers and the tip the total bill came to £30 per head - really good value for central London and the meal set us up nicely for the show in Her Majesty's theatre virtually next door. Service was friendly, quick and professional. Would definitely go again and would certainly recommend.

This was an excellent restaurant for an informal business lunch. The Italian tapas menu worked well, and encouraged sharing and conversation.

The staff deserve particular congratulations and thanks for the help they gave to our disabled guest. Although there is a small step to navigate, assistance was offered and the best possible table was found. Disabled toilet facilities are excellent.
