Waitress a little abrupt but generally ok. I had pillow picante prima pizza and it was very dry. Unlike my husband's salami prima pizza which was delicious. Mine was disappointing. Then I had chocolate Etna for pudding and the chocolate fondant was cold. Really disappinted.

I had a 50% off voucher and booked a table with 3 friends. The meal was beautiful and the attentiveness and courtesy from staff was lovely. All in all 10/10.

Fabulous building - we've often visited. Pleasant, professional and attentive servers. We shared the meat and mozzarella starter which was very tasty. The chicken (can't remember the specific name) was well cooked and presented. The sea bass was a bit of a presentation 'mash-up' with the fish itself totally hidden by the mixed veg. It would have been better presented ON the veg. There were far too many potatoes served with the fish whereas there were none with the chicken and we ordered a side of potatoes. We could have shared my potatoes easily.
We did not order dessert or coffee.
    The wine was pleasant.

From the outside a beautiful building but when you walk inside it has a cafe feel, plastic menu cards and no atmosphere. I have not been to Ask for a long time and won't be rushing back, the food was not how I remembered, mine had to be sent back as it was cold, better Italians to eat at in York.

Everything great, pizza was delicious though drinks are quite expensive... Defenitely one of the most beautiful restaurants in York.

The York restaurant is in an amazing building, the old assembly rooms. The food was excellent, as was the choice of wine. The waiter was efficient and fun too and contributed to making it a very nice dining experience.
