Within the Royal York Hotel in the heart of this historic spa city, ASK Italian Bath offers a delicious Italian menu in comfortable surroundings. The Jane Austen Centre, Bath Abbey and the Bath Assembly Rooms are all within a 7-minute walk.

Inspired by the Italian way of eating, ASK Italian celebrates mealtimes as an opportunity to connect with one another around the table. Start with a perfect-for-sharing antipasti board from the ASK Italian menu, and enjoy signature dishes from fresh pasta to crispy stone-baked pizzas with a great choice of toppings. And because there's always room for dessert, diners can indulge in a selection of beautiful desserts including the chocolate Etna, served with plenty of theatre.

ASK Italian restaurants showcase Italian cuisine at affordable prices, with allergen information on hand if ever you need it, plus a fun kids menu. Premium beers, including Sicily's most famous craft beer, Messina Bira, are available alongside Italian wines, cocktails and soft drinks, like a refreshing craft lemonade.

Bath ASK Italian offers informal Italian dining close to the historic Roman Baths and the Royal Crescent.

ASK Italian was lovely! The staff were pleasant and served people as quickly as they could. The food was great! I had lasagne and my boyfriend had the pork belly. It was near the centre so was in a great location and wasn't too busy. The staff were defiantly a credit to the restaurant.

The staff were excellent, it's refreshing to see happy competent staff who looked as though they enjoyed their job. The food was also very good.

unfortunately it was not the best 'ask italian' experience we have ever had. I ordered the sea bass which when eventually arrived was shrivelled up and only tepid also served on a cold plate, which didn't help. i returned it to the kitchen and it was eventually replaced with a fresh dinner, although a lot warmer was not the tastiest I've ever had.(served on a cold plate again) . my daughters ravioli was only large enough to feed a child. the waiting staff were excellent although the kitchen was extremely slow.

The food was excellent. We chose from the festive menu - Italian with a Christmas twist - turned out to be a great choice. First class service, good value for money, comfortable surroundings - what more could you ask for.

Restaurant lovely. Nice big round table. Nice wine glasses. Food OK, lasagne bland and microwaved. Would probably revisit as good location although a bit over priced & service average.

Hi firstly I've been to many Ask restaurants and usually enjoy the food and the service and I also like the bulb glasses ( I have some! ) on this occasion I am upset that I am to give a few reasons to feel different.
When I arrived I said that I had booked and was waiting for the rest of my party to turn up I was asked if I'd like to be seated but declined as I said that if I waited for them they could see me from the area I was in. After 15 minutes of waiting I was getting worried that they may give the table away. Do imagine my surprise when a member of our group walked pass me to go outside to call me to see where I was! unfortunately the mobile signal is limited in the Bath Ask restaurant however not at any time did avstaff member say that there were other people of our group at the table. This I can see was a oversight and is understandingly one of those things, but after my friend ordered a seafood risotto and read on the menu it says spicy did not expect hot chilli. As I've said I eaten in Ask in both wells & Yeovil on many occasions and have always been very happy with the service and food.
This time I wasn't really but that's not to say I don't like Ask I just don't think this one treated me very well.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Surrounding were fine.
Most in the group of 6 ordered some sort of pizza which arrived quick enough. The side salad was disappointing, just a few lettuce leaves and a tomato but I guess that is standard across a lot of chain restaurants.
However, it only occured to me after I had eaten about 3/4 of my pizza, that it was by that time stone cold. And it was not until we got home and thought about it that we realised that it appeared that the mozzrella and other toppings had been added cold to the pre-cooked pizza. This is the first time I have had a pizza prepared in this way which does seem a bit odd. Perhaps the pizza would have stayed warmer if it had been served on hot paltes rather than wooden platters.
Anyway, for the overall experience we give it 5 out of 10 and rate it OK.
