    The food was lovely and the waitress was very pleasant but, I really wish that they wrote your order down. This is the second time that our order wasn't quite right. Stop being trendy and be accurate. We ordered two calamari and we got one huge one - ok if you're sitting next to the other person but we weren't and a pizza with pepperoni that came without it. We managed but we shouldn't have to.

    The service was somewhat disappointing, waited 25 minutes for them to take a drink order and they did not even seem that busy. We had to gain the attention of a staff member after this so we would be able to order our food as the staff were talking amongst themselves instead.

    Sadly lacking in all things Italian. It's more like a cafe. My husband had fettucini Bolognese. When it arrived I asked the waiter whether this was a main portion. He said yes , why , is it too big!!! It was slightly bigger than a starter. The bolonese was meagre. My portion of pollo Milanese was ok. The food lacks flavour. Everything comes in prepacked portions and it shows. Overpriced and disappointing

    The service was very slow with our complete dining experience lasting nearly three hours. The restaurant was not busy therefore I can only assume that it was understaffed. Our party was four adults and four children and consistently the food was first served to the adults then the children - leaving the children waiting for their food! The food was good however the desserts ordered (ice cream) did not come as specified (simple and small issues - poor attention to detail!). After this experience it is unlikely that we would eat here again as a family booking.

    After booking on line to celebrate my wedding anniversary I was pleasantly surprised how they had made an effort to save us a lovely table by the window as the resturants was very busy . We was then greeted with a free glass of prosecco. The food was lovely, the only disappointment was there being no mushroom starters left on a Saturday night which we wasn't aware of when placing the order
    However there where very apologetic and soon brought us an alternative starter and a Ask Italian cook book as an apology.

    We would definitely dine here again.

    Very good, food excellent as always. Only one observation was that the background noise (from other diners) was very loud - not because anyone was rowdy, just the acoustics meant it was actually difficult to hear other speak over the table. I don't whether the design or decor could be changed to address this in future.

    Ok, restaurant was v busy to b fair however got my daughters pasta order wrong, one pudding arrived still in unthawed in middle and had to be sent back. Also why don't restaurants warm the coffee cups up before they serve coffee? My espresso was warm ( not hot) which is irritating.. overall ok but let down by lack of attention to detail. Also restaurant was freezing. Think they had the air con on for the people in the kitchen Hower we were all cold with cold air blowing from ceiling, almost put coats back on! At end of visit my dad had to tell one of staff about blocked loo in gents which they then went off to sort out.. sorry Ask , not our best visit by far.

    Booking service good. Even though my 3 friends and I visited the Saturday before xmas and we have been to this restaurant before the standard of service was not up to normal. we had to ask 4 times for a jug of water and drinks took a long time to arrive. the food was also just 'OK' . we had Tesco vouchers and the waitress indicated that it was lucky the manager had just arrived (1.30) so he could sort out the bill for us, so not sure what would have happened if we had paid earlier>
    It wasn't up to their normal standards but that said it probably wont stop up going back as its a good place for us to eat when we meet up in Ashby.
    Lets put it down to the time of year and seasonal staff
