I loved the food! We were in a bit of a rush as we had to go to a musical and our waiter managed to bring all three courses in time. The food was incredible and so was the service. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Inspired by the culinary customs of Havana, Asia de Cuba offers Asian and Cuban-themed cuisine in the famous St martin's Lane Hotel. The Asia de Cuba bar is famous for its expertly-mixed mojitos, and the edgy dining room features wall-mounted plant pots, eclectic antique-style furnishings and portrait photographs.

Showcasing experimental flavour combinations and twists on old favourites, the Asia de Cuba menu is brought to you by Cuban-born chef Luis Pous. Bursting-with-colour dishes are served sharing style, and might include chilli-rubbed scallops with black rice and beans, duck confit with brown rice and orange, or seven-spiced chicken. For dessert, indulge in signature sugar-rolled Mexican doughnuts with gooey caramel & warm chilli chocolate, or guava cheesecake.

Meticulously-compiled house cocktails at Asia de Cuba near Leicester Square include tropical mixes, along with traditional Cuban recipes.

A fun, diverse restaurant in London featuring ground-breaking interior design, Asia de Cuba is a 3-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station. A pre-theatre favourite, Covent Garden is just 5 minutes away.

This is the second time that I have visited this restaurant and I have had a most enjoyable experience on both occasions.

The dishes on the menu were exotic and not the run of the mill. I'm pleased the enthusiastic waitress encouraged me to try something different, as the food was lovely both in taste and presentation. The service was impeccable and I enjoyed the background music and overall ambience of the place.

Another plus is its location in the heart of theatreland, so it was just a short walk from the play we had been to see.

Upon ringing the restaurant to change our booking time at the last minute (as we realised that the play we were seeing finished later) the staff could not have been more helpful and immediately gave us a later time.

I would recommend this restaurant to others.

I had a good dining experience overall and the music accompaniment was a fine adjunct to the ambiance of what was trying to be Cuba. The ceveche was the best I've had by far beating the introduction to the dish I had in Peru and then in other places here in the UK when it became more popular to serve on the menu even better than the stuff I prepared in the cookery school at Canary Wharf. The main was enough to fill me up so that the dessert had to be slowed down and that made me only just in time for my next appointment which was at the Apollo theater, it was too good to leave unfinished. The service was patchy so just like in Cuba; ha, ha, ha! The wines chosen by me from the limited list available were not the best, someone should have a word with the restaurant's buyer/supplier; the cocktail which came with the meal deal was just as described, SMALL, with too much ice, meant to make it look larger but which only served to dilute the effect of the drink and it did not encourage me to order others as a top-up from the more extensive cocktail list, mostly rum based as you would expect for a Cuban themed restaurant which was at the back of the list showing the few wines available. The malbec was a little harsh and the earthy overtones while expected were more pronounced than I am used to drinking, the wine would have been better if it had been decanted and left to breath though I am not sure it would have saved this offering. The rosey was not nearly cold enough or refreshing enough, even though I had to wait for it's arrival until I had already finished a good third of the desert, the bottle had obviously been left out of the fridge prior to a glass being presented to me; it was also a little dry for my taste, but given it was my choice, and it was the only one on the menu, I cannot complain too much!
The location of the eating place in a hotel should be explained further to newcomers, as it is not immediately obvious to someone who has not been there before.

The food is of consistently good quality & the ambience pleasant but the temperature is set too cold. Apart from being uncomfortable it means the food gets very cold before it can be eaten

We really like the dishes at Asia de Cuba. Very imaginative and tasty. Very friendly service and special attention for our birthday dinner. Quick service before theatre. Nice cocktails.
