Nice atmosphere. friendly staff and reasonable prices. Starter and sweet very good but disappointed with the main course (lamb wellington.) Looked very nice, but all the veg was just too "al dente" and the pastry was a bit soggy!

My wife and I dined here on Sarurday night. Our initial booking had to be put back 15 minutes but phone call gave us plenty of warning which was fine. The meal was worth the wait. Food was superb especially lamb Wellington. Service was professional. Prices are not cheap. The down side was the noise level which was far too high due to crowded dining area. This really needs attention to do justice to the work of the chef. The mock tree in the middle of the room does nothing for the ambiance either.

Ever wonder what people mean when they say 'All fur coat and no knickers? Try having a meal here and you will understand immediately. Scallop starter. How many do you expect? Four or five? Try two. How about the black pudding that comes with it. Size wise? Imagine a malteaser and you won't be far away. Perhaps this wouldn't matter if there was a bread basket. There wasn't. Still, you got a choice of sparkling or plain mineral water. Warm sparking mineral water. My parter went for a ravioli starter which should have been titled raviolo. Yes, that's right, there was only one. A tastlesss one. For the main course I had the guinea fowl. It could have been a strip of turkey. New potatoes were extra - probably because they were cold in the middle. The place itself is a hotel for which just one toilet has been assigned to the restuarant. For men, women and disabled. Do you want to see the desert menu? No, I just want to see the exit. Avoid this place.

Fantastic restaurant! The food we had was absolutely amazing, every course was out of this world, cooked to perfection! Being a steak man, I was extremely impressed with my main course. Service was outstanding and every whim was catered to efficiently and professionally. Very highly recommended

Great food, reasonably priced, scallop starter delicious as was the Beetroot and Mackerel, the wellington of Lamb was meltingly tender, thou we chose the wrong side with peas and bacon, better off going for simple greens to keep the sweetness down. The dessert cocktails where simple and delicious we where so full we just couldn't cope with a pudding, pleasant service unobtrusive and friendly.
