6 ladies celebrating a birthday. We had a fantastic time & all the staff - esp the Maitre d' David - looked after us and gave us all the attention we needed. What a special place to visit. Drinks are a but steep £ but that's London for you! Well worth a visit xx

The entire experience was amazing, very special. Fantastic views, food and service

Fantastic view that takes your breathe away
Over zealous and too many serving staff, always at the table wanting to know what we wanted, was everything alright, and stretching across us.
An inter change of cheese for a pudding on the set menu, because one guest was diabetic was allowe, but the order for calvados never reached the table but appeared on the bill. This was of course was removed when the error pointed out.
We were celebrating a special birthday so our request to move tables to a more favourable window seat was facilitated (a window view having been requested when the booking made) but request to move to a less formal area for coffee was turned down. The staff member was short to the point of rudeness when this latter request was made, and then ignored me when we were leaving. It made me feel uncomfortable.

I was rather disappointed, truth be told. The restaurant was already looking a bit tired (door handles, tables and floors were worn). My champagne at £16 a glass was not served cold enough and we had a view of a train track and nothing else really. The food was nice but portions were too small and we left hungry. Basically, you're paying for the view - and in our case it wasn't even a good one! I would not recommend, nor return. I dined at the Sky Garden the night before and they were poles apart in terms of quality, value for money and views.

Fantastic view but ordinary food, nothing so special

Had the two course lunch set menu. It was delicious and filling. I had the duck starter and steak as a main. We also ordered some sides to supplement the main. It was my friend's birthday and Aqua was sweet enough to serve up a small surprise treat. Great service, very attentive. Nice cocktails too.

The food was all right. There was nowhere near enough of it and very little choice. (perhaps understandable) The venue is superb. Staff were friendly enough, especially at reception. However, it is incredibly expensive. We were appalled that the vegetables that our waiter brought were on top of the price of the course. One very small glass of rose was £11.00. The waiter had only some English and did not make it clear beforehand that absolutely everything we had was priced separately and therefore the total bill was so much more than we expected. I think they are trading on the venue and getting away with overcharging on the back of it.

Utterly let down, food was poor, especially the steak so poor could not eat it, the service was poor and inconsistent. When made a complaint the conceiage did offer a drink at the bar! Felt so let down and disappointed I just wanted to leave. - shocking same price overall for the grill at the Dorchester but no where near the standard.

    Views stunning.
