Easy to book, our first time trying 'book a table', although it has engendered constant email offers of more restaurants to try. Aqua Kyoto is a dark, sophisticated, expensive and slightly sleezy (mirrors, velvet, leather, low lighting) restaurant with lovely food and excellent service. On the top floor of the old Dickens and Jones building in the center of the West End. Japanese food, really good sushi and sashimi. We had a cheap 3 course menu with a cocktail (all for £29 excluding service). The a la carte menu was very much more expensive. Delicious starters and a lamb dish, a not quite so tasty miso-salmon soup, all very beautifully presented. There is an excellent looking sushi bar in the middle of the restaurant and a balcony that would be great in warm weather.

Dining experience came up to expectations. Staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Enjoyed meal deal, cannot wait to go back to sample from full menu....

Great venue, great food, great service, not much more I can say about the place other than it was GREAT.

Delicious food especially as it was effectively a set menu. Beautifully served and presented. The restaurant was just a little bit on the dark side (as it could do with just a bit more light!!). It will be amazing in summer with the patio fully operational preferably without the unsocial smokers.

Very smart and certainly the in place to be. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Music is quite loud but you can still hold a conversation.

Food was nice but definitely over priced for what is was. Had much better food in better restaurants in other places in London. The food didn't come together with some of us waiting 20 minutes for our mains when we complained the waiter told us that food doesn't necessarily all come together just as and when it is ready, something which we wasn't told
    When ordering. Wouldn't go again.
