The Apples Restaurant in Hamburg welcomes guests with an elegant flair, an open show kitchen and an innovative regional cuisine. The restaurant ?Apples? is named after the ?old land?, Europe?s largest fruit-growing region located just outside of Hamburg; of course, the restaurant name also stands for the local cuisine that is served. Apples Executive Chef Julia Eckerstorfer works closely with her team to only pick the best regional products from local suppliers. The Meat for example is delivered by farms from the Halligen, an island group in the North Frisian Wadden Sea on the North Sea coast. It?s always an event to see how all dishes are prepared in the big show kitchen either in the wood-burning oven or on the char grill. Every location in the restaurant gives guests the option to observe how Thomas Hess and his team create dishes directly in front of their eyes.

Das Apples ist stylisch, Essen ist köstlich, einfallsreich, Service überragend. Durch die offene Küche ist es manchmal etwas laut.

Wir waren jetzt schon 2 oder 3 Jahre nicht mehr hier gewesen und das Essen war wie schon immer exzellent. Auch der Service ist sehr gut.

Experience - food experience was great , but regarding service i have comments . I did feel like a foreigner... ( I m of course ;) ) But to german speaking people they explain everything , to me - just your food and was it good? :) . I took 5 course menu about the wines they just asked , you don't want wine course ..:) Well by this question - no , I don't. when I order red wine for main course ( what was 4 th course ) - they brought it straight away. ..About waters - to all german guests they bring staatl fachingen water , to english speaking - sanpeligrino.:) It was funny for me - so I can see in restaurant who are who..:):) Im form this business ( food & Beverage) as well , so its always interesting how does it looks in other places. I really enjoy watching young chefs working in kitchen - quiet , nice , easy with no stress . And that makes then food easy , tasty , stylish . Scallops and lamb was my favourite dishes , very interesting potato with juniper sauce ! But for dessert - xmas hot wine sauce - I guess a bit too late for xmas feeling on plate.Spring is coming!Waiting stuff - don't ruin what chefs is doing.
