Applegarth Farm is a farm shop and restaurant in the Hampshire countryside that champions local artisan ingredients. Its simple yet elegant menu is a celebration of British food, with a subtle Mediterranean influence.

Diners at the Applegarth Farm restaurant can enjoy seared scallops with citrus hollandaise, and follow with a juicy fillet of beef wellington with seasonal vegetables and red wine jus. Atlantic fillet of cod with salsa Romesco and clam and mussel chowder sing the flavours of the Mediterranean, and desserts include the sophisticated coffee panna cotta with toffee vodka syrup.

Breakfast at Applegarth features eggs benedict, florentine and royale, whilst lunch is graced by the delicate flavours of kedgeree and poached salmon fishcakes with roast sweet potato and fresh dill. The restaurant also runs a classy chateaubriand and cocktail night called ‘beef and liberty’.

Neighbouring Grayshott Spa and Grayshott Golf Centre, Applegarth Farm is just south of Guildford.

very friendly staff, good selection of teas and nice to find somewhere that did gluten free. We would have liked to have chosen our cakes as there were very nice ones available in the farm shop, which we werent given the choice of having, but very nice anyway

We arrived for lunch. The restaurant was warm and cosy with the woodburner alight. Prompt and pleasant service so very happy with that. Overall the restaurant had a vibrant and happy atmosphere and the food was reliably extremely good.

What a fantastic find! We went to the Applegarth as a new adventure to find a warm and welcoming place on a very miserable (normal) Winter's evening and were greeted and seated without delay. The menu, set for Valentine's, was interesting as it was very well proportioned. A complimentary glass of fizz, which was very pleasant started us through the set menu. 5 courses, all of which were wonderful, with a amuse bouche, starter, palate cleanser, main and the best bit - dessert, none of it rushed and plenty of time to enjoy each bit. For some reason, we didn't expect a set meal, but each bite was a treat.

We look for new and interesting places in the area and are very pleased with this discovery, a real treat and we will be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening, excellent meal, excellent service and a very comfortable place to enjoy. It looks like the farm shop is also worth a longer visit, we'll be back to have a go here too.
