“Apfelwein” (Cider) stands in a long tradition. The Greeks and Romans knew of it. In Hessen it is called “Ebbelwoi” and is served in a wine jug As such it belongs firmly to Lucullian culture. With it you need to eat something substantial such as spare ribs with sauerkraut, a platter of cold meats or Frankfurt specialities like Boiled Beef in Green Sauce with sauté potatoes. You will find all this on the menu at Apfelwein Wagner. Platters of cold meats are also served, vegetarian dishes and special seasonal options. This is enhanced by daily and weekly menus. There is plenty of space in the restaurant, courtyard and wine hall which are decorated in a comfortable and traditional style. The conservatory is more modern and you will find a real festive atmosphere at the beer tables in the large garden.
