Had the champagne afternoon tea and the sandwiches and cake were gorgeous. We were late for our booking (by 40 mins too!) and they still accomdated us on a busy Saturday before Xmas. Great service. Will definitely visit again.

Tasty food. Had Annie's hot point - full of tender meat. Great atmosphere. Liked the relaxing drinks area.

Been to Annie's numerous times. However, this visit was not so positive. A meal for four to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary and the end of my treatment for breast cancer was the reason for booking and my meal was poor. My steak went back twice due to it being very under-cooked. The same steak was re-grilled twice and then eventually a re-grilled steak came out. It was better but still the plate was very bloody and I gave my steak away between the others in the party. The waiter was apologetic and did knock it off the bill and gave me gift vouchers to return again, which was kind and an acknowledgment the steak was not right. It was just sad my meal was not edible in one go and so for this my review is not a positive one. After 8 months of cancer treatment, this steak was my food treat and sadly it fell well below expectations. On arrival we ordered 4 drinks, 2 coffees and 2 alcoholic, our coffees took an eternity and came as we finished our meal!

We booked Annie's after reading some good reviews. However, we were really disappointed with our experience.
The tea for two was poor. Water thin beef and stale bread. The service was terrible. We were left without a drink and due to the ridiculous amount of time in between the waiter coming to see us, we then didn't have time for the actual tea at the end.
Overall, I wouldn't say that Annie's is anything special, there are other places that cost the same which are much better. We will not be visiting again.

Pleasant staff. Most of the party enjoyed their meal apart from my husband who was most disappointed with his cheese pie; it tasted ok but the portion was small and it looked like it had been shop bought, cut into quarters and bunged onto a plate(his words not mine). 3 out of 4 of us would return.
