Elevated 7 floors above ground level, Michelin star-awarded Angler brings quintessentially British fish and seafood to the edgy South Place Hotel. This rooftop retreat offers spectacular views over London landmarks, including Tower 42 and the Gherkin.

Simple yet sophisticated, the Angler menu comes courtesy of Tony Fleming, former head chef of One Aldwych. Reflecting the best available produce, dishes may include Cornish cod, sole and langoustine ‘sausage’, or slow-roasted turbot. Vegetarians and carnivores are also amply catered for at Angler restaurant near Liverpool Street.

A painstakingly compiled wine list brings together 250 complementing bins, with a focus on fine French whites and lesser-known varieties from around the world. Designed by Tina Norden, the Angler London dining room features a stony grey palette and glass covered walls, while angled skylights frame unparalleled London views.

A new go-to spot for savvy foodies, the Angler roof terrace is a secluded yet vibrant hideaway. Angler restaurant is a 2-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station.

basically all fish dishes we have tried were almost "no taste" besides the fact that the fish component of the dish was extremely fresh. This doesn't happen only in Angler but is spread also in other fish restaurants of the capital as fish is mostly sourced from the Atlantic and not from other seas which make them more tasty (Mediterranean for example).
So if the fish itself is not tasty, it is up to the chefs to put lots of efforts to make it more tasty, which Angler has totally failed.

The food was excellent, though had too many fancy bits added and so lost the real flavour of the main item, e.g the veloute etc with the fish, ice cream with strongly flavoured pieces of chocolate in it which overpowered the ice cream. Fish pie as a speciality - surely it's a poor man's dish.

The service was not as good as it should have been for a high class restaurant. A main course was given incorrectly. The wines were overpriced.

Excellent high quality fish dishes as you might expect at the Angler. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Glorious terrace 7 stories up and bathed in autumn sunshine when we visited. The food and wine were excellent. I can recommend the surf and turf dish of cod and beef cheeks with salsify - delicious. We also very much enjoyed the white wine from Irouleguy in SW France - it was exceptional, so we had two. I will return and will probably have the tasting menu which looked amazing on another diner's table.

Servizio cortese e raffinato. Prezzi in linea con un ristorante londinese stellato
