I ate at Alla Turca with my son. Cannot fault the service or the restaurant. I had lasagne which was lovely and my son the swordfish which he also enjoyed.

Swathed in Turkish carpet tapestries and hand-made décor, low-key lighting and warm shades of burnt orange and maroon adorn the Alla Turca Restaurant Grill & Mezze Bar. Draped sheer curtains and soft string lighting frame the cosy and inviting dining area.

Great little restaurant in the heart of Glasgow. The staff were warm and friendly, the service perfectly unhurried, and the food is delicious. Good selection of Turkish and a Italian dishes.

The meal was not as expected. We ordered vegetarian. the aubergine was over cooked and tasteless. Very disappointing. Servive was friendly and quick.

Table of 9 booked through book a table - this was verified twice by phone, unfortunately when we arrived the tables then had to be scrambled together for our party. The waiter we had was excellent - really friendly & knowledgeable. We were able to choose from the Turkish or Italian menus which was an added bonus.
One of the party questioned whether a dish was meant to be served luke warm/ cold, the very condescending manager then went into a huge spiel about how hot Turkey is and this is why it is served luke warm, he then proceeded to check if we'd ever eaten Turkish food before. Unfortunately his manner put a sour note onto the evening, the food was adequate.

The mixed grill was fabulous, beautifully smooth hummus in an interesting Meze starter and the king prawn with mash dish also very tasty. The creme brûlée to die for. Loved the music as well. The only issue I had was that my cocktail I ordered was confused with something else, hardly worth mentioning considering the service was excellent. Definitely will be back
