Boasting a showering of local awards, Alderley Edge Hotel is home to two of Cheshire’s finest eateries. With an impressive 3 AA Rosettes, The Alderley Restaurant offers refined fine dining, whilst the Brasserie serves up great British dishes with a modern twist.

Sophisticated flavour combinations are offered in the sublime 7-course tasting menu, with masterful creations including pigeon with sloe gin gel and walnuts, or whisky cured smoked salmon with potted brown shrimp. Retro recipes are served up in the brasserie, with its striking black, white and red décor offering a backdrop to its informal ambience.

An inventive dessert menu at Alderley Edge Hotel includes a smooth melting ginger fondant with rhubarb & custard ice cream, or iced caramel parfait with tangerine textures. An extensive wine list is expertly compiled, and showcases some of the most luxurious vintages on the market today.

An offshoot of the more formal Alderley Edge Restaurant, The Brasserie features bold red benches, eclectic prints and a sweeping stool-lined bar. Expect comfort food favourites, like succulent steaks or chicken chasseur. The well-stocked bar showcases a plethora of world wines, as well as cooling modern cocktail mixes.

From the elegant dining room at Alderley Edge restaurant, guests can look out onto panoramic views of the Cheshire plain. Alderley Edge Rail Station is a 2-minute drive away.

I took my friend for her bday to an afternoon tea. Everything was fresh, delicious, very delicate, scones were amazing still hot from the oven. They offer us to try different varieties of tea and they were superb. Totally recommend this afternoon tea experience.

This was our first visit to the Alderley Restaurant. We went there for lunch so choose from the lunch menu which had a good range of choices. My wife and I both had fresh asparagus followed by sea bass with a deconstructed lemon meringue accompanied by liquorice ice cream as desert. The food was well prepared and delicious, It could not be faulted. The service was also excellent. We only had glasses of the house white wine which was adequate, so could not sensible comment on the wine or wine list. The décor was a little faded and there was not a great ambience to the restaurant, which offered a view over the car park.

OH DEAR - Well you have asked and I have to report that yesterday was the first time I have ever settled my lunch bill at Alderley Edge hotel without adding a generous tip. I come over from Yorkshire and lunch there about 2 to 3 times each year and usually enjoy pleasant service attention and splendid food.
Table 11 yesterday appeared to be jinxed. The major issue concerned my wife's requirement for dairy free food as she is lactose intolerant. This was made clear in my on-line reservation and re-inforced when she placed her order for the main lamb dish. However, when the meal was served a first taste of the vegetable selection made her suspect that they had been buttered. This was confirmed by the kitchen and the plate had to be replaced with butter-free vegetables, by which time the other two people at the table had finished their main courses. There was a rather hurried and far from enthusiastic apology from the table staff and no adjustment to the bill.
It took THREE attempts to get a correct bill for what had actually been consumed after eliminating extra covers (x2) and a glass of port that was imaginery.
Minor issues include missing glasses on one place setting, having to ask for the unwanted wine glasses to be removed, and having to request the dessert menu after a long wait.
I have to acknowledge that the restaurant was busy and there appeared to be a function elsewhere in the building, but the failure with the dietary requirements was inexcusable. I am likely to come again, but will be careful to avoid a Sunday reservation.

We had a great evening. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented and the staff were very nice. Looking at the menu we thought it was expensive so skipped the starters and went for the mains hoping there would be enough. We needn't have worried. There were extra complimentary courses, gorgeous bread, especially the beetroot and goats cheese and extra veggies.
