Overall a wonderful meal with excellent service.
The pre-meal champagne cost came as a real shock... one glass the same price as the 3 course meal... they should probably mention that when offering.

Special celebration - 18th birthday. Had the tasting menu. Superb. Yes, expensive, but worth it in our mind. Perfect service......so attentive yet not intrusive. All very polite and professional but also friendly. Food was superb, so varied and all delicious. The restaurant itself is a lovely room and has a good atmosphere, but is just the right size to feel that you are intimate but not afraid to speak at a normal level. All in all we would return for another special occasion.......the Dorchester itself is a lovely hotel to visit and of course Park Lane a great part of London. All in all 10 out of 10 for the overall experience.

The set lunch menu for £65 a head is outstanding value for a Three Michelin Star restaurant. It includes 3 courses - with choices, nibbles, amuse bouche, chocolates and sweets, 2 glasses of wine and half a bottle of mineral water.
The food was outstanding and service impeccable, friendly and highly professional. You don't feel less important for eating of the "cheap" menu.
    I chose:
    - warm lentil from Le Puy to start
    - Fillet of black cod, braised endive, bergamot for a main course
    - Pear, chocolate from Paris as a dessert.
We had a glass of 2015 Tinos Malagouzia with starter. An interesting and very enjoyable wine from Greece, then 2014 Macon Loche with our main course.
The menu is called the lunch hour menu an if you were pressed for time you could be out in an hour. We weren't and the waiters let us take as long as we wanted.

Nice elegant decor. Lovely service, very professional. Very good food and well presented. Best dish for me the cornish egg.The lunch menu is very convenient.

The food was excellent and worth every pound. Everything is of highest quality. ‘Sauté gourmand’ of Lobster truffled chicken quenelles was my highlight, a perfect blend of strong and subtle flavors with each bit having its unique flavor and texture that all work perfectly together.
The stuff was very attentive, super friendly and never annoying, they were always there when you needed them and otherwise gave you the space to enjoy your food and company. It is a formal place, but it is a nice atmosphere, not unnecessarily stiff.
Wine and tea were also great. The only very minor weakness was the bread, especally the toasted bread, which did not meet the quality of the rest. But overall, it really deserves its reputation as one of the best dining places in London.
