We had the seven course tasting menu with paired wines. A tour de force. Well balanced, full but not bloated at the end. A huge treat. Service was exemplary and was friendly and 'down to earth'.

A fantastic experience and a wonderful lunch! Exceptional service, we ate from the lunch menu - £65pp, with 2 glasses of wine, water and coffee. But it was so much more...the appetiser before the starter, the delicious homemade breads, we chose to supplement with a half bottle of champagne and an amazing Stilton course with port before dessert. And then handmade chocolates arrived (in abundance!) all within the set price. It was my wife's birthday and our 10th anniversary and was an utterly memorable, wonderfully enjoyable experience, thank you to all at the Alain Ducasse, we cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and we will return (I'm 50 this year so hoping for a return treat!)

Warm smiling welcomes from the staff and attentive helpful lead us to believe we were in for a treat. The comparative attraction of the a la cartel menu seduced us into parking our expected budget although I'm sure the table d'hote would have been delicious also. We both started with a Dorchester signature dish - wild mushrooms, some cooked and some fresh. Beautifully presented it looked like woodland scene and tasted as good as it looked. I followed this up with the venison which was served medium rare with a sauce that showed off the chef's creative skills by adding an element of coffee into an already excellent red wine sauce. The end result was sensational and left my wife deeply envious despite loving her order of duck breast. Again cooked to perfection and beautifully served. Needless to say the desserts didn't disappoint with our being shown how Rum Baba should be served rather than the soggy doughnut of yesteryear. The whole meal was stunning and with 3 glasses of excellent wine came in at an eye-watering £ 300. Nevertheless we were happy to pay for such a truly exceptional meal. Well done Dorchester for making the whole experience so wonderful.

Excellent atmosphere and service. Good recommendations by the staff. Scallops were the pick of the lot. Venison was very good too.

I took a friend of mine to celebrate her birthday..Her pick was Duck and foie gras terrine, pickled condiment and it was good. I chose the Dorset crab, celeriac and caviar as a starter and it was spot on. She ordered the Farmhouse veal medallion and sweetbread, carrot and i wanted to try the Duck breast, heritage beetroot. Both dishes were excellent. Dessert were outstanding too. We tried the Chocolate and the Citrus and Basil. Super professional service and amazing flavour combinations.Highly recommended !

Food was beautiful, the wine too. The glasses of wine were a little smaller than I expected but I would not complain. The restaurant has a good ambience, slightly more relaxed than other restaurants I've been to which I enjoyed. I had the Tasting Menu and the Wine Pairing (the lobster dish was fantastic!) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The final sweet selection being provided to you to take home was a lovely gesture.

Beautiful experience, this is a stunning dining room and service was impeccable. The food was excellent, if I was pressed to find fault with anything it was the pudding I ordered. Chocolate with pumpkin, in my humble opinion there was too much of the pumpkin and It was not to my taste.
