A very pleasant evening. As ever, the staff are charming and efficient. I have been a few times now, and the food is always good.

Crafting the sumptuous flavours of Italy since 1999, Al Duca offers a modern retreat in the heart of the city. Offsetting the elegant dining room, continental-style pavement dining is offered during warmer climes.

Bursting with flavour and passion, the Al Duca menu offers an expertly executed range of classics. Sample succulent Luganiga sausages with polenta and fontina cheese, wild boar ravioli with meat jus, or signature Venetian-style calf liver with rosemary potatoes. Inventive desserts at Al Duca Piccadilly include chocolate aubergine with zesty limoncello mousse, or smooth nougat parfait.

For a typically Italian start to the day, Al Duca restaurant offers succulent Parma ham and frittatina, rich coffees and fresh juices. Sourced from across the breadth of Italy and the neighbouring islands, a sterling selection of wines is offered.

Exuding classic Mediterranean warmth, the dining room is decorated with swathes of terracotta and olive, rustic stone and mosaic tiling. Al Duca London sits 5 minutes’ walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

We sat outside on a beautiful evening. The service was excellent but the set menu was a little disappointing. The chicken came with loads of lettuce and a few tomatoes - had to order some sauté potatoes to complete it. The penne looked rather dry with too much pasta for the sea food.

I always eat here in Town as it is excellent. Food, service, wine list, ambience.

Excellent lunch. Super friendly and efficient service. Interesting Italian food, not the bog standard staples. Great selection of wines at sensible prices.

Disastrous. We've eaten here before and liked it because of the Sardinian influence and the fact that it's small, for London. My wife ordered the Pan Fried Liver and asked for it Pink only to be told, "It's illegal to serve it that way"!!!!!! So, we just whatever and awaited it. It arrived and transpired to be just a lump of sinew, the worst cut of liver imaginable, inedible. So, we complained and said not only was it inedible, the knife wouldn't cut it. Staff said they could make another one, no thanks we said, don't want to risk it. No dessert, as hacked off by now. To cap it all, the bill arrived with the liver still on it. Pointed out that we were not going to pay for it, so they shoved a revised bill in front of me.

Exit stage left and will NEVER go back. Plenty more places to go in London.
